I try to stay away from the main boards - learned that lesson when I got attacked for mentioning Primal has really worked for me and how low my calories can end up being SOME days - people as a whole seem to be so judgmental and stuck in their opinions - if I read one more "primal/Paleo is a fad diet" or "eat more…

Love them! Eat them daily in my smoothly or just thrown on whatever I'm eating or in a glass of water. 1 TBS daily.

one can always find evidence or opinion to support their beliefs.....I stay away from processed (especially bleached or highly processed) foods and white bread and pasta are certainly that.

I am a D cup and have not exactly gone without support but I no longer wear bras unless I need some serious lift for a dress or something lol. I had a lumpectomy in Jan of 2011 and postop my chest was wrapped in an ace wrap and for a few weeks after I could leave the ace off my bras were just not comfortable - so I ended…

You think Primal or Paleo is ridiculous or crazy? Then don't eat that way! These posts and the arguments about how bad or good these lifestyles are crack me up - to each their own and who cares what the next person is doing? It's all about finding what works for you. Primal has changed my life - my weight, my labs, my…

I'm just under 3 weeks in to my own little month of Primal challenge to myself and I am loving the lifestyle - lost just under 15lbs so far, most prob water weight from the unbelievable amount of carbs and sugar I was eating - which oddly enough I don't miss and I'm not hungry - which has never happened for me on any other…

What I tell my patients is to not even look at their total cholesterol - it means nothing if it's high because your HDL, or good cholesterol is included in the calculation. High LDL levels have a familial component in some people - we generally want to see them < 140-160 but if your HDL is high we're not so worried about a…

"Men and women with higher intake of red meat were less likely to be physically active and were more likely to be current smokers, to drink alcohol, and to have a higher body mass index (Table 1). In addition, a higher red meat intake was associated with a higher intake of total energy but lower intakes of whole grains,…

Everyone is different, no one should feel like they HAVE to stay under 1200 and no one should feel like they won't loose weight if they don't up their calories. You have to figure out what works for YOUR body - I think we've all probably been on this ride long enough to know our bodies and if eating a certain way makes us…

yeah good point about the produce....I never get it from there - we head down to Whole Foods (right down the street from each other where I am) for produce and meats.

The have these seaweed wasabi snack "chips" (they're just seaweed) that are fantastic! The also have some Super yummy spelt bread there, nut and dried berry snack packs that I take to work that are a great snack, frozen marinated ahi tuna steaks that believe it or not are super yum, a sea salt grinder with flower…

2 weeks into the 1-month commitment I made to myself to go Primal for at least 30 days and I feel fantastic already! can't imagine I won't make this my lifestyle now :)
-
yeah that was interesting over there, I want to go nuts on them all but then I'd be no better so I aborted that mission! I know, I am apparently on deaths door because I am averaging 200-300 less calories a day than them! not because of the years I lived with obesity! thanks I'll look that one up online - I do better…

My friends can't believe that I actually eat until we're in the break room together eating lunch - I swear I am not purposely keeping my calories at any level but got forbid your diet isn't "all about the calories". Anyway - I have blown through Sisson's cookbook - any good recommendations for other primal cookbooks out…

OK then. I'm out - back to the primal/Paleo boards where those no competition or anger because someone doesn't agree with you! it works for me, end of story - I didnt ask anyone else to do it just passing on something that works for me. And the dead comment was me being facetious - duh!
-
I just got reamed on another board for mentioning that most days I am under 1000 calories by following the Primal lifestyle - think ill stick over here from now on - family have been supportive but friends and coworkers I get mixed responses - just SO happy I finally found a lifestyle that works for me!
-
I feel fantastic - and since I'm not dead or feeling ANY ill effects, including hunger, I would say I can survive on exactly what I am consuming - maybe you or anyone else could not but that's the beauty of us all - we're all different and finding what works for you is the key - how about a little support instead of…

I jumped cold-turkey into Primal weeks ago and I feel fantastic - check out marksdailyapple.com if anyone is interested in it - it is a little less restrictive - I still have cheese and occasionally quinoa but nothing processed ever.

Primal avoids all that crap - love it!
