  • I have the same question! I'm very close to my goal weight. Sooo...now what? I'm also small boned and short. I'm thinking I should stay in the center of the healthy BMI range and be happy. (This web site ROCKS!!)
  • You will like this site. If you can take a little time each day, it's easy and it works.:flowerforyou:

  • This is a great way to lose weight! You have to be honest, "garbage in - garbage out" approach. If you honestly put in what you eat and what activities you've done that day, you will see where to adjust your day-to-day stuff. Some days you may burn a TON of calories doing yard work or cleaning house, and end up with a…

  • classic rock from 70's & 80's and disco. I'm a boomer, so my favorite music is the old stuff.
  • I'm 5'3" and started out with MFP at 142 lbs. in March. I'm down to 127. So I've lost 15 lbs in about 3 months. I eat my exercise calories most of the time. This site has me set up for 1200 a day, and I've been losing about a pound a week. I do "work out" 3 days a week (circuit training for 45 minutes each time). Since…
  • I'm close to my goal and I've wondered too how to maintain it. I'll bet we could put our goal - to stay the same or gain .5 lbs a week, etc. - in this web site and it will tell us how many calories per day. It should work both ways I'd think. :flowerforyou:
  • Someone at work asked me last week what I've been doing because they noticed I'd lost some weight. That was so cool! I've been talkin' up this site all over the place. It feels wonderful to have some control over my pants size for a change.
  • http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/6556-the-answers-to-the-questions?page=1 Follow this link (above). Someone else may have already steered you in this direction...but it explains the "eat your exercise calories" very well. I printed it out and keep it handy. I need a refresher once in awhile. :flowerforyou:
  • You may not be old enough to remember a corny saying...but true...Today is the first day of the rest of your life! :flowerforyou:
  • I got some Sony athletic headphones recently. They have soft tubular things that wrap around the outside of your ears and hold the buds in place over your ear canal. I have never been able to keep the earbuds in my ears when working our, but these Sony headphones are working great. about $20.
  • One of the other ladies at my circuit workout place told me that the calories burned were much greater than the 386 (or 376) this database has in it for 45 minutes of work. More like 300 per 10 minute circuit/round. However, it must depend on how many reps are performed at each station, heartrate, etc. I would rather err…
  • I also go to a circuit workout place. There's an exercise already in the database called "general circuit" (or maybe circuit, general). That's what I've been using. It shows 386 calories for 45 minutes.
