That is nonsense. I started at 175 and have lost 18 pounds because of it. I definitely suggest running...at any size :).

1) As long as you are up for it, definitely continue your other workouts because the video is only 20 minutes. I took one or two days a week and just did the 30DS, and used those as my "rest days" 2) You will need hand weights and a mat if you are working out on a hard surface. I would suggest getting a few different…

I would see how you feel. I am about half way through with the 30DS and I mix in other exercise with it (jogging a few miles, playing softball, walking, etc). If you can handle it, I would continue to do both, but if you are in pain then just do one :). Good luck!

Most people do circuit training.

Nuts, soups, pretzels, some salad dressings or sauces (think soy sauce) and some cheeses.

I googled this topic and it seems to be pretty legit. University of Minnesota study said this: "In a clinical study of 38 people, Sibley found that higher baseline levels of vitamin D predicted fat loss, especially in the abdominal area. “What is suggested here is that if you start out with an inadequate vitamin D level,…

This one. You would only weigh yourself before/after working out if you want to see how much water you lost. I believe from every pound lost you need to drink 16oz. of water...or something like that.
-
Just keep at it...MFPers think you are doing great. Also, use this as motivation to prove them wrong :).
-
I would say a grilled chicken salad, fruit and yogurt parfait or order a kids meal. I know a lot of people that order a kids meal because it gives them their fix, but at a reasonable quantity. Good luck!

I use the one at my gym and it works wonders. It is a great cardio workout and really tones your arms and back. I am typically exhausted after using one. Not sure what type they have though :(

I have only done 30 day Shred (but considering doing Ripped in 30 after I finish Shred), but I will say there is A LOT of jumping and pressure on your knees. I don't normally have knee problems and it is difficult for me some days, but a tremendous workout. The higher the level the harder it will be for you.

I am often faced with the same problem. I recommend trying to get in more snacks during the day- I often eat 2 to 3 snacks inbetween meals, that way you aren't eating 1600 calories right before going to sleep. Also consider higher calorie food options- nuts, protein shakes, etc.

Most likely it is due to either dehydration or lack of potassium (which is why people keep saying to eat a banana). Drink plenty of water or gatorade and eat plenty of fresh fruits to obtain the potassium.

These reasons...but more specifically the zombie one.

I live in Texas also and I LOVE the state fair. I would suggest wearing the heart rate monitor and just track how many calories you burned just walking around. I did that last year with my pedometer and it cancelled out most of my eating :).

30 Day Shred worked well for me. I also like Tae Bo just because you get to punch :)
-
I do the same thing :)

Well said :)

Personally, I would change your settings to "lightly active" or "active"- that way MFP will add in the extra calories for you :).

Make sure that you are eating enough and you are eating food that will replenish vitamins and nutrients. B Vitamins specific help with energy and they speed up your metabolism.
-
I agree with this 100%.

Mine are NEVER accurate. For a while I was tracking mine on a calendar to see if it had any value and sure enough it was always way off. I am with you though, despite the program saying I will lose 1.5 pounds a week, I really only lose half a pound. At least we are losing though :).

One lady at my gym does it (and she is not in great shape, which makes it even more uncomfortable). Super awkward!!! She definitely shouldn't have been there 15 minutes later. I would just avoid that day and/or time :).
-
I don't take a multi vitamin, as the iron content in most of them makes me sick. They won't help you lose weight, but some will help you have more energy- B vitamins specifically :)

Feel free to add me as a friend and I will try to support you as best as I can. I have been on the site for 4 months now and love it :).
-
I would love to do it this time around also :)

Just keep at it- you definitely don't turn into a runner overnight. I say this week focus on running 15s then walking 45s and maybe next week if you feel comfortable try jogging for 30s straight. If you need more time to recover than take that time. Also, you might want to look into the Couch to 5K training program. Tips…

I am doing the 30 Day Shred and it is awesome. It is pretty difficult, but it truly works. I add in more cardio almost everyday- my only suggestion would be to try and space them out. On nights that I do back to back cardio then video I seem to be much more tired during the video part.
-
Seems to me you are doing great. As long as you feel good and aren't tired I would say go to the gym as much as you can. I workout almost every day (because I want to eat more also) and it really helps. If you start to get sore or overly tired then I would take a break, but until then keep at it :).

I use circuit training also.
