Honestly, it sounds like you are looking for an excuse to not eat healthy. You have literally shot down every idea that you have responded to. If you don't like veggies then eat fruit or try and cook cauliflower differently. And like someone else suggested, walk around the perimeter of the store and go crazy. Produce,…

This is what I do also :)

Give yourself some slack. No one can eat limited calories ALL the time (or at least no sane person). If you seem to be slipping, I would switch to a higher calorie daily total. Say your normally set your settings to lose 1 lb. per week, set it to .5 for a few weeks. Don't go all the way to maintenance. I tried it and just…

Hi Maria! I know that I have really enjoyed the challenge! Last week I completed everything but the mileage (still got to 15 miles, but knee killed me the first half of the week so I stayed off of it). I love the weekly addition of push-ups and sit-ups. I am going to weigh in on Friday and hopefully the scale will show a…

Last week wasn't terrible, but I was like you and ate almost everything that I passed. I barely finished my running last week and my knee was killing me this morning when I tried to jog again. I am *hoping* to get in the 23 miles this week, but I don't know if I will with my knee hurting. Good news is that I did 35 minutes…

Damn...I really wanted that unicorn. Too bad someone beat me to it.

This week is going to be great! I look forward to the increase in miles and the addition of burpees. I am going to try and cut out candy. Last week was a pretty bad eating week for me because of stress and I want to get back in the hang of things :).

Last week went really well for me. I believe I ended up doing everything on the list. This week I am going to focus on sodium (I am also bad about sugar, but 9 times out of 10 that is because of the fruit that I eat, and I don't want to cut that out). I guess no soup for lunch on those 2 days :(. Also, I weigh myself once…

As of Saturday morning: Run/walk 12-20 miles - 14 DONE 100 crunches/sit ups (any kind) - 150 DONE 60 push-ups (45/5 without knees!) - 50 1 day of consuming ALL your calories (no more than 10 remaining) 3 days of drinking ALL your water - DONE 20 Try a new physical activity for 20 minutes. Let us know what it was and how…

I typically have one on days that I work out- it normally consists of 8 ounces of skim milk and half of a scoop of chocolate protein powder. I have it as my afternoon snack. It typically cures my sweet tooth and gets my protein for the day up.

Hi all! Like another girl said, I didn't eat all of my calories back. I got within about 30, but I didn't want to eat just to eat. Everything else I was able to get done! This week I am excited to try the new recipe. Today I am going to try and make southwest chicken tacos :).

You can find glucosamine with the regular vitamins. Most of them also contain Chondroitin. I have been taking it ever since training for a half marathon and I can really tell a difference in my knees when I take the glucosamine.
-
I take an "energy" support multi, plus biotin (I can totally tell a difference with my hair, skin and nails), and glucosamine (helps with my joints when I run 5+ miles). I also track my vitamins and if I missing some then I will occassionally take a calcium pill.

Hi! My name is Ashley- I am 26 years old and live in Fort Worth, TX. I just starting training for a half marathon about 6 weeks ago and hope to finish training by the end of February (that is if my knees will allow). I am looking for more motivation to lose the last 10 lbs. and just get in better shape overall. I have…

I am in also!

I normally have a bowl of oatmeal and a hard boiled egg. The fiber from the oatmeal and the protein from the egg help keep me full.

My boyfriend and I pay $29.99 for the 2 of us at LA Fitness. Keep an eye out on the local gyms and see if they run any specials. My gym offers them DAILY. You might also want to consider a recreation center or YMCA, as those tend to be cheaper (I used to go to one, but ours closed down for renovations).

New running shoes and Tae Bo videos :)

You look absolutely amazing! Congratulations :)

No, it doesn't make you close to a fat cow. People are dumb, ignore them. They both just look like regular women, but I liked the dress on Kelly better :)

I tried tracking it for a while just out of curiousity- it was way off. In fact I had one listing on my calendar this morning- it was 5.1 pounds off and I am under my goal almost every single day.
-
Most of them made me sick also- I am highly sensitive to iron. I would suggest taking individual vitamins- I take Vitamin B, C, Cal-Mag-D and glucosamine (it helps with joints and I like to run).
-
I would like to do it also :)

In the past I have done walking 2.0 mph and split my time in half or 2/3 (depending on how much I actually felt I walked). If you walk for 8 hours I would do 4 or 5 hours at 2.0 speed to account for stopping/sitting/etc.

I am like you, I definitely like fruits much more than veggies. My suggestion is to try and mix them into pastas/soups/salads/dips/stir-fries etc- that way they are surrounded by other delicious things :). You can also find new ways to prepare veggies, rather than just eating raw or steaming them. Just recently I tried…

Work them into your calories and you shouldn't feel bad at all :)...or workout to burn off the calories that you do consume. I plan on jogging tonight so that I can have a delicously greasy dinner!

Sometimes it isn't as accurate as it could be. If you want an accurate number get a heart rate monitor, or if you are using a machine (treadmill, bike, etc) then enter your age and continue to use the HRM on it as those would both give you a more accurate reading.

This one exactly :)

I read an article on Biggest Loser a few weeks ago that really tells the truth about the contestants and the show (and of course now I can't find it). Essentially it was saying that a "week" is actually closer to 10-14 days. They also only give the contestants roughly 1000-1200 calories a day and they start dehydrating…

Walking, jogging, hiking, swimming, jump roping, push-ups, sit-ups, lunges...heck, just get out there and move.
