I think most multivitamins can make you feel nauseous if you take them without eating.

I tried it every way possible...with food, without food, before eating, after eating, morning, afternoon, evening...it just was not agreeing with me. I took rx vitafol when I was pregnant and was happy with that so I know there has to be something out there for me!

Have you tried taking a Childrens multi-vitamin. The main difference I have read is the dosage need to achieve the same result as an adult vitamin. I put a link below if you are curious. Maybe a childrens vitamin that is chewable or in gummy bear form would be more pleasing to your tummy. It may not be specific to woman but if you match up the vitamins on the back you may not find much of a difference between them. Just something you might want to checkout. Never hurts to read up on it.

I was recently reading that it's better to take individual vitamins that match what your body needs than a multivitamin. Your doc can do a vitamin blood test and let you know if you are missing anything or low on anything.

Some vitamins build up in your system and not everyone needs them. Some vitamins can actually cause problems if you have too much of them.

Some studies, such as this one - http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/02/09/study-finds-no-benefit-from-daily-multivitamin/ found that multivitamins offered no benefit. However, my doctor advised me that after 30, my body might have a more difficult time absorbing certain vitamins from food so vitamin supplements *might* help, but it was best to test which ones those were. For me, that ended up being B12 only.

great point, thanks! I am borderline anemic so I need iron, that would prob help with my sluggishness and lack of motivation. I have my yearly in March so I am thinking I will talk to my GYN then and see what she recommends.

Most of them made me sick also- I am highly sensitive to iron. I would suggest taking individual vitamins- I take Vitamin B,
C, Cal-Mag-D and glucosamine (it helps with joints and I like to run).

There are gummies for adults. I do eat first, but have had no problem.
