Thank you for sharing your insight :flowerforyou: im pretty sure im going to stay hypo, after its all said and done. I was hypo for a long time (it never went high or anything, just during the first few months post partum, but thats typical), but prior and after ive always been low...is hypothyroid same as Hashimotos? Or…

Postpartum Thyroiditis is not the same as Hashimotos. But i repeat, Postpartum Thyroiditis has the potential to turn into Hashimotos but it in many cases it does not. Postpartum Thyroidits is normally a temporary condition. Also, i stand corrected. My previous post, i stated that i thought about half of those with this…

Thanks everyone. I actually do take all of my measurements. But they havn't budged for well over a month. I do hips, bust, legs, arms, waist, neck, calves. Pretty much everywhere. But guess i'll just keep on trecking...and im only 5 foot 1....so im just confused...

No Hashimotos (sp?) is different (though it has the potential to turn into Hashimotos). This is Postpartum Thyroiditis and its *supposed* to be a temporary condition and is only a postpartum condition (temporary, as in, it should resolves itself within one year of it going hypo). But for about half us it turns into a…

I had to up my calorie intake to lose weight. i used to only subtract out 200 calories for breastfeeding, My net was set at 1200 and then i added 200 (= 1400 calories). but then i kept getting hungry and the scale was not budging, so i upped that to 500 calories. So now i eat 1700 calories and i ALWAYS eat back my burned…

Mine is also 110lb, but i have been overweight my entire life because i have had hypothyroidism since i was 10. but im really pushing on and hoping to achieve this goal. But tbh, for me, im not sure how realistic that is (for myself), because i had calculations done and my body is considered to be 100% lean without ANY fat…

Thank you! That is a really good idea. I think i will follow your advice. And to answer your question, mine never resolved itself. However, my boys are 17 months apart, so I got pregnant when my son was 9 months old, so i dont know if thats why it didn't. But honestly, for me, i think it's going to be hypo for the rest of…

Starting this challenge a tad late (was sick with laryngitis). My goal is 30 miles. I have 4 miles in today, so only 26 more to go! Today i power walked pushing my toddler in the stroller and babywearing my 3 month old. Tomorrow will likely be on the elliptical. Thanks for this thread! off to make my ticker...

Dont know your little guys personality, but if he's anything like mine, then he loves to run, skip, hop, dance....chasing him around is enjoyable and helps lose weight! Maybe, play outside?

I have two under two (17 month age gap & breastfeeding my 3 month old on demand). I go to the gym after my 20 month old is in bed. Then DH takes care of the baby while i go. I would recommend a 24 hour gym, if possible. I go to Planet Fitness and the biggest reason why i chose that gym is because it's open 24/7 (and its…

i totally agree! she does need to respect that fully....but the OP needs to tell her mother her expectations, no? ...on top of that, 12 yr olds do have some level of self control...

I think all of us have our bad days and we need room for that (though very rarely!) and i think we all need to have the knowledge to make healthy food choices, but i dont see how being with his grandma a few weeks out of the year is going to make him pack on the pounds, even if he is eating cookies and pizza. (or whatever)

this is such a tough question to answer since we dont know your circumstances all too well. I think seeing a Ped RD would be your best bet. Insurance would likely cover it (if you have it). Personally, i would hestitate to have him doing mfp or anything w calorie tracking simply bc he is getting to a vulnerable stage of…

Your body was not made to run off so few calories! Youd be better of being anorexic and not giving yourself the bad hormones. Theres a reason why your body doesn't naturally produce that hormone often. Messing with hormones is such a terrible idea! And of course you're going to lose weight on so little! If you dont change…

I always attempt to eat back all of my burned calories. If i dont eat them back, i dont lose weight. ...im 18lb down and losing about 2lb per week (sometimes only 1lb), but it works. When i dont eat them back, the scale never budges down..and oddly enough the water weight increases...i dont understand it, but thats just my…
