What time do you all go to bed? Or rather, how many hours of sleep do you get and do you feel well rested when you wake up that early? Also, I was never a breakfast person. Always made me feel icky. But if I exercise without eating, I get jittery, probably a natural low sugar is my guess. I'd like to workout in the…

or, hey, if the first thing u do in the morning is take your bedding to wash all of it, then you probably wont find going back to sleep appealing..that would take a lot of effort to find the linens and plus even if you did do it, id be willing to bet you would be too awake to go back to sleep ;)

following. for me, setting an alarm clock far away helps most. i saw one that goes off and has wheels, it literally rolls away and you have to find it to shut it off lol i usually open my blinds up too, bring the sunlight in. however, in the winter that isn't always helpful. i find making my bed helps too. it gives me…

i always feel embarassed. im short and plump with a belly and double chin to boot.no one has ever said anything to me to make me feel this way, but its just my own inner battle and insecurities. But then i remember, i work so hard at the gym. everyone does and chances are they havn't even noticed me bc they are working out…

I have disc issues and broken tailbone. I have found an old school video very good and even helps improve my core, which is very important w back issues. It's called Pilates by Denise Austin. There are two 20 min videos. The first is geared towards beginners. That is the one I usually stick w personally. The second is…

Early bedtimes for my kids. That is usually when I work out. Or during tier naps but that would depend on the ages of ur kids (my three are under 5)

It depends on your needs and abilities. I personally prefer the low impact but high results with the elliptical. It is much better on your joints verses running on a treadmill. But I think it's more preference too. If I had a choice, I'd totally get the elliptical.

Counting calories didn't work for me whatsoever. I guess it just depends on the person, but calorie counting was not successful to me no matter how well i followed it. Also, i recently read that the FDA allowes up to a 20% error on the label for calories....that could add up to a lot of extra weight per year! It isn't just…

Joining :) I am also 5'1". I started my journey after the birth of my second child, at 209lbs. I got down to 162lbs, however, I recently had our third baby and due to a thyroid issue i gained a lot of weight. I restarted my attempt at 190lbs a little over a week go. I am now down to 186lbs. My biggest goal is 130lbs as…

If someone wants tips on how to lose weight in their midsection, how to build the muscles in their arms, how to rid themselves of the bra buldge, no one would come on here and tell them they have body dysmorphic disorder and tell them to just accept it. They would offer ideas on how to help improve it (except maybe in the…

Thanks to all of your replies. I would appreciate it if this thread could stick to answering the question at hand. I realize there is science on everything and anything, risks and benefits. If anyone wants to create a new thread for anything other than answering my question, please do. This doesn't have to turn into a…

okay, i did my body fat % and it is 32.45% at 174lbs (based on prepregnancy weight-im pregnant now just planning for the future). How do i figure out how my BF% relates to BMI and weight range? Sorry im asking so many questions *blush* just want to make sure im being realistic with my expectations. I understand BMI can…

aww. im totally with you on this one! I lost about 25lbs and my face is still as chubby as it was 25lbs ago. I hate that! im pretty sure it will be the last place i ever lose weight. (((HUGS))) i do not have a round face shape. In fact it's actually oval, but that darn double chin really prevents it! I do find hair cuts…

Sorry guys! Totally been out of the MFP loop since ive been pregnant, but i just wanted to update and answer my own question :) (before getting pregnant) I ended up doing my workout and as a treat i would tan afterwards. It very stress reducing to me and always relaxes me...so much i could fall asleep! but that also means…

I havn't had the Mirena, so take it with a grain of salt, but i just wanted to point out even those without hormonal BC can gain weight and/or have issues losing weight. For instance, i was not on anything (besides breastfeeding) and i was only able to lose 5lbs over 3 months no matter how much i logged, focused, and…

Has she had her thyroid levels checked? I have been hypothyroid since well before puberty but man did it go into overdrive at that point. I weighed more than everyone else my age, NO MATTER how hard i tried. And losing weight, what was that?! totally wasn't getting anywhere. Other health concerns that can cause issues with…

I just wanted to update this thread.About 4 weeks after posting this topic I started Weight Watchers online. I also used MFP bc i love the community here (you guys rock!). Immediately I was able to lose 1lb per week (i was breastfeeding so couldn't lose 2-3lbs bc it's not recommended while nursing). Looking back now, i…

I think genetics plays a lot into it. The stuff about moisturizing and drinking water is only going to do so much...and if you have over hang, it probably wont do THAT much justice. Unfortunately i think it depends on how you carry your weight. I carry a lot of it in my midsection plus ive given birth twice. My chub was in…

I dont have access to a pool. I think swimming would still make it hurt as you have to "flipper" your feet and pointing them (like how you would while you swim) is the exact position that hurts it. I def. think im going to have to see the doc come monday. I'll be surprised if this doesn't stop hurting by then....wonder if…

Are there any cardio seated exercises i can do? Because cardio is the only thing thats worked in the last 4 months...extremely frustrating to say the least. If my foot is still hurting on monday im going to go to the doctors. Its weird because it just happened out of no where. There was no one moment that i thought "man!…
