  • The rain has really been putting a damper on my walking, however, we did manage to get a one mile walk in yesterday. We did walk faster due to the rain though so calorie burn ended up being pretty much the same anyways. Yesterdays walk: 1 mile Total miles walked: 12.1
  • walked 1.2 miles today on the beach with a 22lb baby and a 5lb backpack attached! Total for the day: 1.2 Total so far: 11.1
  • I am so up for the challenge! And if i keep up with my mini goals, i will reach my ultimate goal New Years Day 2012! So this is PERFECT!!!! p.s. who puts up the challenges?
  • I walked 1.3 miles + 2.0 miles = 3.3 miles for the day :D Yay! I have met 9.9 miles of my 25 mile goal! This makes me feel so wonderful! I never knew walking had this power!
  • Mark me down for 2.2 miles for the day! I am at 6.6 miles of my 25 mile goal
  • you look great! such a motivation for me! this is my goal actually....for my pants to be that large. Yes i want to shed the pounds, but my biggest goal is weighing in by size. Congrats! wonderful job!!!
  • I have not yet attended my GYN appt. but i am fairly certain I have PCOS as well. What types of symptoms are you having that you think you do too? I use the "natural family method" and I am very in tune with my cycle. If you are not so in tune with yours, i recommend www.fertilityfriend.com (even if you are not trying to…
  • For oatmeal, if you are using sugar, try brown sugar instead. It is a bit more healthy (for as healthy as sugar can get *dohh* lol). Its a nice alternative :)
  • What i love most about this is that it seems realistic for me to lose the weight. And i know i can do this the rest of my life (with eating/exercise). Its not like a fad diet where you lose tons in a short period (and miss out on everyday normal, heatlhy foods), and then gain it all back as soon as you stop. Not to…
  • I actually had the opposite problem! I am overweight, but i never realized (until being on MFP), that not eating ENOUGH could be keeping me overweight! It amazes me!
  • DH is currently at work (I am a SAHM). My little kiddie should be going down for a nap soon but when he gets up, assuming i can get him on my back with the Ergo by myself) I am going for a 2 mile walk with him. And then dh has to get his 2 miles in so we will probably go tonight as a famliy as well. -this is addicting!-
  • Welcome! I just found this site about 1-2 weeks ago and im loving it!!! It has created so much motivation and it makes me feel, completly, as if i CAN actually lose weight. I have always had THE HARDEST TIME losing weight. I would be lucky to lose 2lb per month! But now that I am on MFP, i have lost about 2lb per week! Its…
  • I have not seen any difference physically...so thats discouraging. But i have lost 6lb in about one month...i am tagging along in this conversation because i am interested with those who lost weight, when was it physically noticeable??
  • My high school health teacher (yes, quite some time ago since high school, but he was good!) always said, if you want to improve health/weight, stop with the sugar. I read this book called "Get the Sugar Out" (sorry, i cant remember who wrote it :blushing: ) but it has some great ideas and advice! It also had tons and tons…
  • well.....theres a lot of sugar in it haha, but they are yummy and great for a supply. not sure how many calories though.
  • Hi friend! You can always take herbal suppliements too :) I have some left if you want to try any! Mothers Milk tea, blessed thistle, and fenugreek are all great herbal suppliments to increase a milk supply. I understand increasing isnt really your goal, but my thoughts are add about 400 calories to what MFP is suggesting,…
  • With vitamins and minerals, you cannot have too much simply because your body will absorb what it needs and then expel the rest. Now, what you may want to do to get the best benefit, is take each one at different points in the day. If you take a ton only once in the day, your body will only take what it needs (at that…
  • Welcome to MFP! I am a newbie too! I hope we both can reach our goals together :)
  • Thanks everyone! MFP should def. make Zumba a cardio activity! Especially since it's so popular!
  • Log me in for another 2 miles! We have now totaled 4.2 miles of our 25 mile goal!
  • So, you know how it says you should weight x amount by x date? Well, has it been accurate for those that stick with the calories/carbs and exercise-staying within the food/exercise tool goals?
  • Currently, I power walk, about 6 miles per week (and that includes my 21lb infant attach to my back on highly supportive baby carrier), the Skinny B**** DVD workout, as well as Zumba and swimming. We just bought an eliptical but we dont want to take it out until we move in 3 weeks (we are closing on our first home). I am…
  • Thanks everyone! I usually have a terrible time at loosing weight but since I have started using MFP (be on for about a week now), i have lost 2lbs. I know doctors say 2-3lb per week is fine. So thats why i was confused. The food tool and exercise tool on here is so helpful!
  • Sweet! We beat our goal for the day! And instead of walking 2.0 miles- we power walked 2.2 miles! It feels good! I also walked with my 21lb son on my back for well over half! The shin splints started immediatly..i knew i was out of shape-but dang! Will that just go away as i get stronger, or is that just a symptom of a…
  • My husband (LPShred) and I are walking at least 2 miles today...and I am either pushing our 9 month old or carrying him on my back! Can't wait!
  • I bet it is worth it! I believe you can adjust the "current" in it so as you get stronger you can increase your workout challenge. And of course you can always use it as a hot tube :) I think you have the money, its worth it but i have no personal experience with it.
  • I'll be your friend!
  • Thank you!
  • ^Nice! Great job on the weight loss!
