Since my gym is on base and I work on base, I'll shower if I hit up the gym prior to work. If after work, I head home and shower there.

Chipotle salads and Subway (yeah, I know about the sodium content). Worse case scenario, salads are decent at McDonalds.

I wanna say I'm jealous of your PT schedule. I'm in the Air Force and based on my job and schedule, I haven't had to do organized PT since 2008 (except for my PT tests). I'm sure what you're doing during the week is enough, but if you want to utilize the gym, perhaps do it on the weekends or your down days?

I'm a woman in the Air Force (but my hubby is a civilian). Feel free to add or message me for any support.

Thanks for some of the tips. My biggest issue is the timeframe while I'm at work (4am-noon). I'm hungry when I wake up, so I eat around 330 or 4, but then I want to eat breakfast at a "normal" time, then by 9-10AM I want lunch. I like to eat dinner with my family, so I try to eat sometime in the afternoon so I'm not…

Thanks for some of the tips. I do love Newcastle and Guinness. Usually, I just try to workout more too, but I wasn't sure if there were some new good beers I didn't know about.

The only people that really bother me are those who do cross-fit and in turn "claim" 3 different machines at once and the guys who leave the bars fully stocked with weights, so I have to clear them off before I can start.

I love my kindle and I'm reading more b/c of it! All you pay for it the price of it and the books you purchase. Some kindles have built in wi-fi, others you just connect to your computer to get your books. If you have Amazon Prime, you can also rent books for free and you can checkout book on it from your local library.…

I recommend using a crockpot! Super easy and you can use cheaper cuts of meat. Here are some websites: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/318767--cheesy-crockpot-shredded-chicken-234-cals?hl=cheesy+crockpot+chicken&page=1#posts-4242332 http://getcrocked.com/ http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/…

wow....I'm 183 and my goal is 164 (with possibility getting down to 150). I couldn't image going into the 120-130's

Anything heavy and hard. I'm like Five Finger Death Punch, Static X, Rammstein, Hatebreed, Lamb of God, etc

I only use the app for a barcode scanner at home. Otherwise, it's the site.

Let's see... - I'm afraid of red digital clocks...especially if they're blinking (power outage) - I can crack nearly every joint in my body - All volumes for music/tv need to be set to an even number - I hate calling people I don't know personally

Running and trying to watch what I eat. I'm in the military and they only give us 6 mths to get back in shape and do our PT test. I'm 5'8 as well and my goal is 164 (eventually down to 150)

I know what you mean about high altitute. I'm stationed at Peterson AFB at 6,200ft. I think it's bs that they took away the high altitute adjustment.

I use it for shakes and cereals.

you're suppose to warm up before you stretch. It is not good to stretch your muscles when they are cold. Go for a walk, do some jumping jacks, run in place, etc, then stretch then run, cool down, then stretch afterwards.

My music and the fact the cardio room faces the mountains. I don't see how people can read and workout. I'm going at it 100% and don't see how its possible.

As a fellow cruiser, here are some of my tips. 1. Avoid the buffet. If you're sailing on Carnival, at the sit-down restaurant there are something called "spa menu", which has healthier options. 2. Use the gym and the running track on the ship 3. Take the stairs avoid the elevator 4. Take laps around the ship. Enjoy the…

Thanks! My biggest hurdle now is having the motivation to workout when I work my very early shift (4AM-noon and I have to get up around 0230L). By the time I get off work, I'm so tired and if I don't work out right away, it's not going to happen....

Current Active Duty Air Force, SSgt, had my 2nd baby 4 mths ago, and I have my PT test coming up in a little less than 2 mths.

I try to log before I eat, that way I can plan what I'm eat, then calculate how much I will exercise, etc...
-
Thanks for all the help everyone! You're all awesome!

For me, just getting dressed to exercise is half the battle. As soon as I'm dressed, I'm ready to hit it hard. I believe it works.
