I don't think punching yourself in the face is the solution. But if you think it will help by all means. "knock yourself out" Just continue to lean out and your face should continue to lean out as well.

Just set small goals. If you can't do 1 pushup try to do a partial pushup. Maybe only lowering yourself down from the ready position will be all you can do. Who cares.. what matters is each time you practice them from that moment on you try to do a little more. Eventually you will do 1 pushup. And exercises can be awkward…

Not sure why some people have a "beef" with protein? Heres some more studies on the subject for those who are interested. http://ndt.oxfordjournals.org/content/20/3/657.full http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2129142/ http://jcem.endojournals.org/cgi/content/abstract/89/3/1169

Right..And all these adverse health effects you speak of are all related to high protein intake. And I am saying I have not seen evidence that these claims hold any water what so ever.
-
rml_16, I have not seen any evidence that high protein intake has any adverse effects on healthy kidney or liver function. The evidence I have seen suggests that low protein diets does not prevent the decline in renal function with age but may acually contribute to the decline. As far as high protein and liver function.…

in regards to this specific topic they/you are not..

Yes I am. Dispute non credible info like you posted is what I do. Why, is the CC above being questioned?

Protein is not stored as bf in most real world situations.. In order for it to be stored as bf would require you to consume more grams of protein then is possible. reread what I posted above and then do some more indepth research.

you say that carbs don't cause weight gain but that to many calories do.. yet above you say that to much protein does cause weight gain. You can't have it both ways. Protein is never directly stored as fat. It would first have to be converted to glucose through gluconeogenesis. Then synthesis of fat from glucose can occur…

If the calories you eat before bed are part of your daily calories goals then it makes no difference. Many people have the urge to eat at night or are simply hungry at night.. That is why you put aside calories for night time so you can eat. I eat a boat load of cals right before bed. But it is not like they are extra…

No, excess protein does not get stored as fat.. If you increase your protein intake you will increase the oxidation rate of protein..The pathway for protein to be converted to fat does exist.. For protein to be converted to fat it would first have to be converted to glucose and glucose can be converted to fat.. But then…

If you are progressively increasing weight on the bar you are getting stronger be it 6,8,12 reps. Creatine monohydrate is among the most studied and proven supplements ever. Supplementing with CM increases your C stores/CP stores in muscle. This will prolong the immediate energy source used during short high intensity…

I believe there are a few tests that can be done to determine if you are deficient in iodine. You would have to talk to your Dr. I asked because you mentioned you cannot consume soy because of a thyroid condition. I researched this some time ago and in adults the studies showed that soy had no negative effect on thyroid…

Swiftgirls2, is your diet deficient in iodine?

The chances of 10 minutes on that thing being equal to an hour in the gym. (assuming you make good use of that hour) are slim and none! You would be better off doing 10 minutes of acual exercise.
-
It is just about being consistent and getting it done.
-
To find out if you have a thyroid issue and what steps to take if you do, you should probably go talk to a doctor. I do know a guy who has been following the "eating your type" diet for quite some time and he has had nothing but good things to say about it.

Muscle fatigue that occurs during exercise and the soreness that you can feel during the recovery period that can last days are two different things..In some submax exercises lactic acid removal is equal to it's production. So there is no lactic acid accumulation. In heavier exercise the production of lactic acid will be…
