ANY fitness level can enjoy Zumba because everything can be done at your own pace. In the beginning, it can be very intimidating, but you will get the hang of it. It is great fun and burns TONS of calories! I do it 2 or 3 times a week at the local YMCA and I LOVE it!!!! Good luck on your journey!

Wow... your sister is one lucky girl to have someone as supportive as you! You go girl!!!

Hi all! I am so excited to have a Gluten Free group here. My name is Cheryl and I was diagnosed in August 2010 with Celiac and have been gluten free ever since. I found out quite by accident after having an endoscopy done (because of a stomach bacteria I contracted) and they found substantial damage to the villi. Then a…

Thanks for all the suggestions!!! Excited to get my Zumba on.... :-)

I go to the Y as well and love doing Zumba there. If you can possibly work it in to your schedule, I'd keep going to the Y ...

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! I am right behind you girlfriend! It's coming off slower than I expected (started June 1) but slow and steady wins the race!! Keep up the great job and keep us inspired! :-)

Suggest to him that the two of you see a counselor. It is quite possible this is a battle about something else... and this creates a vicious cycle that leads to a lot of resentment for both of you. Good luck!

I love the LaCroix canned flavored sparkling waters. They are just lightly flavored with nothing added (no artificial sweeteners etc.) One thing I've come to realize, is if I cut back on things like Crystal Light, Diet Coke, etc., I crave less sweets. Good luck on your journey!

Good luck, Larry. My hometown is Augusta but I live in the Atlanta area. This is a great place where you'll receive lots of encouragement. Best of luck on your journey!!!

Welcome! It is an awesome way to make new friends and be encouraged on a daily basis. Feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like! Best of luck to you....

Just wanted to add that all of you have VERY impressive losses! Keep up the awesome work!

Treadmill all the way...

Mine is always way over. I try to focus more on the "added" sugar instead of what's naturally found in foods. Even then, I still consume more than I should but I know my food diary is never going to be "perfect" but watching it still keeps me more aware. I'm sure my sugar count is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy lower than it…

Congrats! Keep up the awesome work!

Hang in there! You're an incredibly gorgeous young lady and making the choice to live a healthy lifestyle is such a wise thing to do! And a 20 lb weight loss is GREAT! I'm losing VERY slowly (lifelong dieter) but for the first time in my life I'm trying not to let the scale rule me and determine my happiness. I joined the…

There are definitely rude people here just like anywhere else, but overall my experience has been a very positive one. I just ignore the occasional "you know what" and figure they must be really unhappy overall. Good luck to everyone here!

PS I've only been doing Zumba a short period - today was my 3rd class. Please tell me it gets easier!!! LOL

I just added it myself here and used the calorie count that showed up at the YMCA on the Fitlinxx log in. Good luck!

YES I DO! It was really bothering me for awhile so I googled how much sugar and it seems as though 40 grams of ADDED sugar is what an average person should shoot for (not necessarily what someone trying to lose weight would eat). Obviously, it's important to keep sugar as low as possible but I'm not going to feel like I'm…

Keep in mind your body can only absorb up to 600 units at a time so you will need to take it in the a.m. and in the p.m.

You look awesome and we're all envious! :-)

I was diagnosed last August and as recently as a month ago I realized something that I thought I had read was gluten free wasn't. (This had happened several times prior as well.) There's just so much to try to grasp in the beginning. I don't have outward symptons (internal - damaged villi and CD confirmed with blood test)…

Hi! Was diagnosed with Celiac last August. Feel free to add me and view my food diaries. I'm not going to guarantee they're always healthy but to the best of my knowledge they are always gluten free! :-) I've only been doing MFP a couple of weeks. I'd love the opportunity to check out someone else's food diaries as well.…

Thanks for posting this question because it completely wears me out VERY quickly too! I'm totally intimidated by it!

My tip would be not get hung up if someone is wearing the same thing several days in a row. I have 2 outfits that are my fave to wear. I honestly don't think most people would notice - I know I'm sure not keeping track of others clothing. As the saying goes... "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff"... Pun intended! ;-)

Good luck girl! You got this!
