  • I love all these encouraging post you are all putting up here! :flowerforyou: Here is mine for today. I took it from something another MFP friend of mine quoted a few days ago: "You are successful the moment you start moving toward a worthwhile goal." That means we are ALL successes ... no matter what that scale says…
  • Melissa - just want to check that we didn't miss a post from you re Sunday. Fine if you didn't get anything in that day, but I don't want to not log it if you did do something on Sunday. Let me know if there is any information to enter on the chart for that day. Thanks :flowerforyou:
  • WEDNESDAY: WORKOUT: 60 minutes (35 minutes circuit training and 25 minutes aerobics) Calories burned: 583 (Workouts and burn goal met - but I won't stop there  ) REPS: Well I rep-ed it up today - thanks for the push Samantha :flowerforyou: 650 reps: 150 Cardio (all jumping jacks); 150 lower body (100 squats - and…
  • Watch out Dolphins! Sharks are coming back to claim that first place
  • It is Rep It Up Wednesday Sharks! Let's make sure our strong insides are reflected on the outside  Have a fabulous day everyone!
  • @ Mary - glad you got those Wolverines worried  Reminds me that I still need to go and do a bit of smack talking too! My TUESDAY: WORKOUT: 35 minutes circuit training and 32 minutes brisk walk with Leslie Sansone. Total 67 minutes. Calories burned: 580 (Still need to do 2 more workouts and burn another 228 calories)…
  • @ mangobadango - Hi! Just wanted to check - did you really do 5 minutes of stretching on Monday, or is that a copy and paste error from last week. I know you saw that this week the challenge is 7 minutes, since you did that on Sunday. It has been entered on the chart as 5 minutes, but if it should be 7 just let us know and…
  • :noway: You feel "guilty" about doing no reps today when you did 1075 yesterday  THANKS anyway for more reps for the team  YOU ROCK! ... And it is Rep it up Wednesday tomorrow! SPREADSHEET UPDATED TO HERE!
  • Great burn there Kate! Well done! I don't have your points for week 5. Could you let me know how many you had please. Thanks!
  • Some motivation for us all to keep on pushing ourselves: We CAN do this Sharks! Even if your calorie burn goal is a bit higher than usual, even if there is all sorts of "stuff" going on in your "normal" life right now ... whatever the situation, just push on through as best you can. We don't need to be perfect ... we just…
  • I will join you for Rep it up Wednesday! Will make myself push really hard and get not only the rest of my weekly reps in, but also lots of extra ... and now I have said it, I need to DO IT
  • Thanks for updating the chart so regularly this week Mary :flowerforyou: Feel like I haven't been pulling my weight over the past few days! Sorry! Been busy helping my friend pack up her house, so I'm away from my computer more than usual. I have just posted the following on the main page, about my stretching progress.…
  • I have to admit ... I absolutely HATED the stretching parts of the challenge in the first few weeks, but although not exactly loving it yet, I don't mind it now! (Is that progress? ) Maybe I am liking it more now that I DO see some results  - I can now straddle my legs wider and although I am not yet at…
  • SUNDAY: WORKOUT: 60 minutes (made up of 35 minutes of circuit training, then a walk to the pool - which I didn't count as minutes but made it all a continuous "workout" time otherwise the next bit wouldn't count! - and then 25 minutes of swimming laps. Then had a nice hour of relaxing in pool with kids and friend with her…
  • This isn't exactly motivational, but I for one needed the laugh this morning: But now for the motivational bit: OK Sharks! Let's get this week off to a great start! NO EXCUSES! We are strong, we are a Number 1 team  , and we WILL push as hard as we can  Have a great week everyone!
  • And my encouragement today is really one for myself (have had a bad couple of days in this respect!) :
  • Sounds OK to me! It was over and above your usual clean - and it is not as though you are logging workouts like this every day. AND you added in squats - so were clearly trying to make it harder (than it already is when you are scrub brushing!)
  • Checking on here to encourage you all today, and YOU encouraged ME! Just looked at last week's results / this week's challenge: OK, we may have slipped to 4th place, BUT we have FIVE Sharks in the Top Ten! WAY TO GO SHARKS!!!!! AND no drop-outs from our team so we are still a complete team not needing to have anyone else…
  • Another great week everyone - and well done to those Dolphins! However, although Sharks may have slipped down a little further on the team placings this week, we did have FIVE Sharks in the Top Ten and no drop-outs  THAT is something to shout out! PROUD TO BE A SHARK! Thanks for another week that will…
  • SO TRUE! I could not have put it better! I was one of the gains, but this is so right - we just need to keep moving forwards. The only way in which we fail is if we give up. SHARKS DO NOT GIVE UP
  • I have had a busy and very emotional day helping my friend sort her house out. (They leave in 2 weeks  ) However, had to come on here this evening to check how the fabulous sharks did! CHART LOOKS GREAT! Seems we all met our goals again and the team did fabulously on those numbers. SHARKS ROCK! Very proud to be part…
  • Week 5 weigh in: 174.1 lbs. That is a gain of 0.3 lbs  BUT throughout this challenge I have had one week of a BIG loss followed by one week of a small gain, and repeated. SO I lost big last week and this week is a small gain, so I can totally live with that  .... as long as I get that BIG loss again next week…
  • Oh, but before I run, a quick encouragement  SHARKS ROCK! Get that last minute workout in this morning everyone, and may the scales smile on you! (Mine didn't this morning, but I am OK with that!)
  • So so sorry Mary, but I have to just post my Friday stats and run! Would love to help you posting all the above, but I am already running late (was determined to still get my workout in, but that has put me behind time-wise :-( ) Here is my FRIDAY: WORKOUT: 60 minutes circuit training Calories burned 632 REPS: 50 sit-ups…
  • THURSDAY: WORKOUT: 60 minutes (50 minutes brisk walking and then 10 minutes vigorous steps!) Calories burned: 606 REPS: 100 core (50 sit-ups and 50 reverse curls) and 110 upper body (60 chest flies and 50 chest presses) STRETCHING: Did 6 minutes HIIT: 8 minutes EM: 1) Filter filling - this is normally my eldest daughter's…
  • Love a bit of guilt from time to time!
  • You are right Mary, WE CAN DO THIS! And to motivate you all a bit more:
  • WEDNESDAY: WORKOUT: 60 minutes made up of 20 minutes circuit training, 20 minutes aerobics and 20 minutes of calisthenics (lower body reps and some core work that I didn't count in reps below) Calories burned: 473 (Target met for this week) REPS: 50 core reps (sit-ups) and 200 cardio reps (100 jumping jacks, 50 high knees…
  • Here is my encouragement/motivation for today:
  • Lobstergirl posted the following on our Sharks page: Well, here is my response to that: Look how quickly we replace those teeth! There is NO holding us back! We are ON THE MOVE all the time and in all ways! Sharks are ALWAYS ready to attack! Looks like we might have got some Wolverines a little worried this week
