What you are feeling is not related to circulation. It's actually the pinching of the ulnar nerve in your hand. This is the same nerve implicated in Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. That's why it takes a bit to go away when the pressure is relieved. In my experience gloves vary quite a bit in regards to how much relief they provide…

Easy. You and your computer geek friends pass up your senior party to bring your computers to a friend's house so you can play each other's computers (conveniently different platforms) into the wee hours. That's by far the geekiest thing I've been directly involved in.

Daily commute by bike each way: 24 miles, 90 minutes and 1100 - 1300 calories as recorded by my heart rate monitor and other estimates (Endomondo, MFP). I did a double-century (200 miles) on my bike last year over two days. My HRM recorded about 5000 calories burned each day for a total of 10,000 with a total saddle time…

When did you know it was time to end things? I had a dream where I kissed a coworker and not only did it feel like it should feel, unlike interactions with my ex, but I felt no guilt about it. At that point I knew that there were essential, irreplaceable things missing in my marriage...things that I longed for and…

Before I started biking, which has its own natural intervals in most cases, I used to do an hour of HIIT on the treadmill. I lost a lot of weight and fat doing that, but I it's mostly a function of the time I spent and the fact that I consistently pushed the intensity above my aerobic threshold. At least once a day we get…

This is simply untrue. There are many many people on this site who have results that refute your claim. If you create a deficit with cardio, you will lose weight. If you do cardio but eat up to your TDEE, you will not lose weight. It's as simple as that. Cardio allows you to create a deficit without having to be so…

You'll be waiting a long time. I don't understand why there is so much insecurity expressed by weight lifters. I've yet to see a thread saying "weight-lifting is pointless" from a marathon runner.
-
You have to create a deficit to lose weight. You can't gain muscle on a deficit. Thus, weight lifting is useless as a tool to lose a lot of weight because to get the additional mass that will increase your BMR, you'll have to eat over your TDEE. You'll gain muscle but fat will come along with it. This is why body builders…

The character string: 7^JJyKjQmvT2BvsY. I don't know, there's something lyrical about it.

Here's a better question: Why is it ok to bash short people, especially men? Unlike obesity or extreme thinness, height is definitely not someone's fault.
-
Wrong. I think the idea is that fat people already pay a price for their unhealthy habits. They are made to feel unattractive and unwanted by a society. Sanctioned bashing would be just piling on.
-
Skinny people are lifted up by our society as an ideal. Thus, there is a backlash to the thin-worship that permeates our culture.

Don't listen to the OP. I've been using Endomondo for almost a year on my Android and it works fine, including the latest version.
-
That's a straw man argument and doesn't deserve a direct response. You are simply increasing your risk of cardiac death and cardiovascular disease later in life. It's pretty simple actually.
-
What's dumb about it? Cardio exercise has been a proven important component of long-term heart health. No cardio means higher risk for cardiac death later in life. It's basic logic really.
-
Congrats to the OP. You went trolling and you caught a whopper. You should become a trolling consultant. When all of the muscle heads are dropping like flies prematurely because their weak heart gives out, I wonder how counterproductive cardio will seem to them then.
