  • Every day in the morning. Sometimes at night just to see if I can guess what I will weigh in the morning. :D
  • Im 5'1" and I started at 147. Im now down to 124 and my goal is 115.
  • I tend to gain about 3lbs of water weight during my period. Its just water and will go away once its over. If you keep eating properly youll lose the water AND the weight for a nice new low weight after its all finished!
  • Name/ real name: Saffy Goal weight on February 29th: 120 2/01: 124.8 2/06: 2/13: 2/20: 2/27: 2/29: Off to a good start! My goal may be too difficult to reach but Im still gonna try! *Edited to fix typos.
  • I make sure I eat something (at least 100-150) calories half hour to an hour before I work out. It helps a LOT with my energy levels. I would definitely suggest trying to add in more calories at least for a week and see if it helps your workouts.
  • I know how you feel. I just went through a phase just like the one you are describing. Somehow I snapped out of it. I don't want to be the same as I've always been. I know what that's like. I've been there way too long. (omg nerd alert via the Matrix) I wrote out how I was feeling in a blog and just doing that helped me…
  • I wore old stuff until the pants started falling off and I felt like I was swimming in my t shirts. Then I bought new stuff. Much cuter!
  • January 1: 127.6 January 8: 127.6 January 15: 126.4 January 22: 125.6 January 29: 125.4 January 31: 124.8 2.8lbs lost :D I'm happy with that!
  • My HRM ( I have a PolarFT40) is usually within 20 calories of what the elliptical machine at my gym says. I enter my weight and age into the machine, if that helps. For 45 minutes, the machine usually says I burn 450 and my HRM says I burn 430. I'm 5'1 and 127lbs. MFP says I burn 385.
  • My caveat is that I have to be at my goal weight for at least month before I reward myself. My reward is a trip to Cancun and it's likely I'll gain some weight while there so I want to make sure I can get back to goal once I'm home. And inevitably I'll need a new wardrobe so I don't look like I'm wearing sacks.
  • I love this! Thank you for reminding me how delicious roasted chick peas are!
  • I wear my watch in the shower with no problems. It's water resistant to 30 meters so that would definitely include laps :) Oh, I have the Polar FT40.
  • Well, I guess I'm close enough to my goal weight that I can't lose five pounds in a month :*( Two pounds a months will be more reasonable from now on, I think. I'm at 2.2lbs lost this month. Maybe in the next two days I can make that an even 2.5 :) January 1: 127.6 January 8: 127.6 January 15: 126.4 January 22: 125.6…
  • Yes, its very true with pasta i learned the hard way to cook only a single serving separately for myself. Luckily I dont eat much pasta. I definitely read labels and I love my digital scale because it allows me to measure using the same form of measurements used on the label.
  • I definitely weigh my food after its cooked! I want it to be exact!
  • How much does the entire package weigh? Is that also innaccurate (the net weight or whatever)? Or is it just the amount of servings thats off? And is it already cooked? I have a hard time with figuring out dry pasta servings once i cook it.

  • This! I actually enjoy taking note of how my weight has fluctuated and deciding why I think it did. This way I dont get bummed if on my "official" weigh in day Im a little up.
  • Boneless buffalo wings and ranch. And fries with ranch...
  • I'm 5'1". My goal is 114. Currently 125. I started at 147.
  • I had a pretty rough week with eating. One crazy eat-everything-in-sight-for-no-particular-reason day included. /sigh Still, I managed to lose. I changed my end goal to be a total of 4lbs lost since there's only four weeks in January and I'm at the tail end of my weight loss. Sadly, I don't think I'll even reach 4lbs lost…
  • Well, Im very small at 5'1" and MFP has me losing half a pound a week at 1200 calories. At 5'8", if I were you Id take advantage of your ability to eat more daily and still lose weight. And get some exercise in so you can eat more. Thats what I do. I dont necessarily eat ALL of my workout calories back but enough to feel…
  • I would use the HRM number rather than the machine. I have a Polar FT40 and says exactly the same as the machine. And somehow the machine knows my heart rate the whole entire time... I didn't even know my HRM could do that but I think it's awesome :) Which might also explain why the two numbers are identical. I also put my…
  • I make my husband leave the room. I *hate* working out in front of him. Today he wanted to be in the room I normally work out in and I made him move all my stuff to the living room because I refuse to skip a work out. He is not allowed to leave the room he is in until I am done :D
  • I'm in the same spot you are. I've been reading all sorts of things about how hard it is to lose the vanity pounds. I have 13 pounds left to lose. I'm 5'1". When I started I found it was hard to eat more than 900 calories but I did manage to increase them by eating avocados, hummus, nuts and other calorie dense good foods.…
  • Its genetics. I've lost 21lbs (13 to go) and my bra size is still a 34E. And I'm only 5'1"!! /sigh
  • I believe the reason there has been no subsequent starvation studies (at least in the US) is because nowdays that would be considered torture. I think there might have been a more recent Russian study but it was not as in depth as the 1950's one.
  • I rage-quit Pirates of the Burning Sea at level 14 because some mean horrid lvl 49 sunk my ship. And I had all my supplies onboard (which they took). I hate PvP. Cancelled my scrip and never played again :D
  • I loved this! It was my first workout DVD ever. I lost 8.8lbs and 14 inches off my various places I was measuring. It took me 36 days to complete it and I took a rest day each week. I also started it at the same time I started monitoring my calories so that probably accounts for the largish loss. AND (even better) I'm much…
  • Oh, I see what you mean. I have to agree that I don't feel like eating at all after a weight workout. Whereas after enough cardio, I'm scrambling for my protein shake.
