To be there for my kids as they grow. When they are adults I want us to have awesome memories of things we all did together as they grew up. To prove my ex wrong. :grumble: Shopping at Fredrick's and Victoria Secret. :blushing:

1. I am exhausted! 2. I have no idea what to do for dinner tonight. 3. I need to help my daughter with her school project. 4. I really wish I would see more movement with these last 10 lbs but I know my eating and lack of exercise is why the scale isn't moving. 5. I love my new apartment!

I have tried flax seeds but find it easier to take a flax/omega vitamin.

That is so cute!

 Great posting OP, everybody here reached a point where they said enough is enough. Many of us have struggled and some have fallen but we keep picking ourselves back up and pushing onward towards our goals.

Congrats! That's awesome, how far you've come.

I've been at this since June of last year everybody wobbles from time to time. I've been wobbling lately myself. There is no magic answer that works for everybody. Some people can just think about it and decide to stop, others have to work and struggle daily. I usually find that I have to spend a week or so forcing myself…

My worst slip up was my birthday- I ate everything I wanted (and some things I didn't really). I've had slip ups since then. Usually when I have a binge day I spend the next day paying for it (my stomach hates me) so I started fasting the day after a binge and it really helps me regain my focus. Good luck and remember this…

Congrats on your success! I don't really want to be a downer but I do want to make you aware of a couple of things... Many people have a loss upwards of 5 lbs their first week because they are eating cleaner and they drop a fair bit of water weight. This is not usually maintained thru the second week as the body has had…

I haven't reached my goal yet but as I've lost weight my style has changed some. There are a few things I was never comfortable in before that I feel I can now wear. Like skinny jeans, cami style tank tops, dresses, leggings with a tunic (so 80s I know but I like them). Some things (like short skirts) I'm waiting to wear…

I paid off my bills that I had racked up thanks to an ex-boyfriend (this came with a promise to myself to never to be so stupid again  ), and financed a move into a new place for me and my kids to start fresh. :drinker:

 Please do...I'm begging you!

I like to add PB2 (powdered peanut butter) with chocolate. It's like 45 calories for 2 tbsp and adds protein as well.

I'm a big fan of rewarding myself with some quiet time to read a good book and a cup of hot tea (maybe hot cocoa if it's a bigger reward). Now yes, I recognize I'm rewarding with a food item but tea is good for you plus there's no calories if you leave out the sugar and let's face it there's just something about chocolate…

That's so awesome! Way to go, keep up all the hard work!

You have every right to be proud of everything you've accomplished. Don't let the naysayers get into your head. You've worked hard and will continue to work hard. Let their words be your step ladder to climb above the petty jealousy and keep working towards your goals! I'm getting into the same boat and I still have 11 lbs…

That's amazing! Congrats to you.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Oh honey this guy is TROUBLE!!! He will try to manipulate you for as long as you give him the power to do so. He will tear you down and make you feel miserable. Then he will reap the benefits of you constantly apologizing and trying to "make it up to him". :frown: My ex-husband loved to play this game on me. Run and…

Way to go! That's an awesome accomplishment. :drinker:

I can totally relate. Between working full time, being a single mom of two kids, trying to workout regularly, and now getting ready to move I feel like stuff is slipping thru the cracks every time I turn around. When I figure out the magical formula I will let you, unless you figure it out first then please share. Signed,…

Congrats! I'm glad you made your goal, it's such an boost for motivation!

Hi, my name is Nicole and I'm addicted to MFP.

If you want to weigh in daily that's fine but occasionally you are going to see increases. It's usually water weight, especially if you saw a two pound gain in one day. Try not to be discouraged, this is a journey not a sprint.

I try to have a cup a tea, it really helps me control the munchies.

I totally bought a goal outfit. It's a little purple (think dark purple/maroon) dress. I went to the store, picked it out and tried it on in the size I was then bought smaller. It hangs in my bedroom so I can see it everyday to remind me of one of the reasons I'm doing this.

I stalled back in October, I did a bunch of research and lived in the message boards for almost a week reading about other peoples experiences. Finally at the beginning of November I did 2 things. I cut way back on my cardio (I was getting around 15 hours a week) and switched to doing Jillian Michaels Yoga Meltdown and her…

I am constantly cold. My "good" winter jacket this year is barely enough to keep me warm inside my office, I had to put in a space heater, plus add a sweatshirt to layer my jacket to keep me warm enough to go outside. It's been a pretty mild winter here so hopefully by next winter my body will have adjusted. Like a lot of…

Not going to argue one way or the other about different weight loss methods but the point about your body adjusting to a certain amount of food (1200 calories) is true. Your leptin levels drop and you have trouble losing weight and can even risk gaining weigh back. The trick for me was to do a re-feed. I ate at maintenance…
