upper back is nothing, you'll be fine! one of the least painful spots, at least for me anyways. yes, have a good meal before. i made the mistake, twice, of not eating beforehand. once i actually passed out (my first tattoo) and the second time i nearly did. had to take a food break.

I did a lot of cardio at first, lost. Then did cardio and strength, lost a lot more and got a lot of definition. Did a more cardio based program these past 3 months and saw next to no results. I agree with you OP. To be faithful not only includes physical actions, but emotional as well. The one you promise yourself to should not only be the only one getting your body, but your heart and soul as well.

No, it's not pointless. Cardio provides health benefits weight training does not. Such as cardiovascular improvement. Both aspects are important. Just keep in mind that exercise is for shaping the body, a healthy diet is what allows you to lose weight.

You didn't lose because you were over eating because your estimated calories were higher than they were. You can't throw everyone into the same box. Judging by your default pic it doesn't look like you have much too lose. And at 1200 calories your deficit is likely too high, which will make your body not want to let go of fat. go to http://www.fat2fitradio.com and do their bmr calc. it will tell you how many cals you should be eating based on your activity level.

You're 5'1. That has A LOT to do with why 1200 calories is ok with you. You're small, you don't need as many!!! Bigger people need more calories. But kudos to you and your accomplishment!

Yes, it's very true. Progress is soooo slow the closer you are to your ideal weight. Perhaps you should focus more on strength training then, to tone and tighten, and not worry so much about the scale? It helps with staying sane.

yup i feel the same way with my friends. everyone has their own personality and it's silly to get offended cuz of it. if someone steps over a line I kindly let them know and the majority are super respectful about it. I love when that happens!
