WW worked for me for a while. But, the problem is the number of carbs you can eat. Since I have PCOS, it is better for me to have a personalized meal plan that works for my body. I love their program and meetings and have always found them helpful, but a lot depends on your group and your group leader. I know some who do…

always speak to your doctor before doing a heavy exercise routine or weight lifting. for most women, excersize is fine, but it depends on your indivudal case. personally, i am high risk, so i have to cut out all the work outs due to my condition, but walking is encouraged. regarding the weight/calories, my ob said its fine…

i use joseph's breads. They make a flat pita with only 8 carbs and 60 cal, its delicious. I find them at BJ's Wharehouse. http://www.josephsbakery.com/SubPages/Products/FeaturedProducts.aspx

this is how I feel doing Zumba! After 20 minutes, i'm ready to fall out in the floor! Take it one day at a time. I'll get up to 25 minutes of Zumba one day and eventually I'll be able to do an hour. :-) Just keep going! Try to be positive and when you feel like you can't, try to see something small that was good amongst…

i tend to lose pounds but very little inches! Which really sucks! I have dropped at least 1 pant size, but when i look at other people's pictures they look like a different person at 10 pounds lost, but for me, it takes much longer and much more weight to really see the size change. keep up the good work. Congrats on your…

thanks for your reply. Will it tell me if it stops picking up my HR? I saw the HR pretty consitently moving up and down while working out. granted this was my first time using it. i also didn't hear it beep any time during the workout. is the beep really low?

i'm glad to know it can go the other way too and give you more calories burned! :-) I did zumba today for 20 mins and at my weight i felt i was going to die! I was almost dripping in sweat....and i burned 163 calories. I thought it would be much more, but it wasn't. I am going to give it some time for me to get used to it.…

Thanks for your reply. Resistance ranged from 4-6. i was talking with my dietician because my weight loss has been flat. she thought i was eating too many carbs (which is true! :-) But, she thought maybe my calories were underestimated. But, now it seems my workouts were way overestimated, so it makes sense, but it doesn't…

did you find that the FT4 is much different than the FT7?

feel free to add me. The more support the better!

I am 5'4 and over 200 lbs so any exercise I do makes me sweat and I feel like my heart is racing. :-) If I were 150 lbs I would expect that the burn rate would be much less, but at such a high weight, although I have lost 38 lbs, i would think the rate would be more than that.

i was going 18mph which is supposed to be vigorous. I'd rather count what I 'm actualy doing, but wow, I was eating some of those calories back, not sure how i actually lost weight! I wanted to see if anyone else experienced that. I am a larger woman and wasn't sure if maybe the strap was too tight or not tight enough or…

Thanks Ginny. It just seems weird that its 500 calories off. I wonder if I set my HRM correctly?

I have had 2 first trimester miscarriages and 1 2nd trimester loss in which I delivered my baby boy and he died in labor. First, I am sorry for your loss. IT IS ALWAYS a tough process to go through. I recommend grief counseling right away to deal with your loss. I would also go and see a reproductive endocrinologist to see…

I feel this time on my journey has become a real life change for me, i feel that is not only becuase I am motivated and sick and tired of being sick and tired, but i now have multiple levels of support. I have a loving supportive husband, a supportive family, some supportive friends and a…

i love my fitbit. i've had it for over a month. I have bought a million pedometers, and they were all too clunky. With the fitbit I just attach it to my bra and I find it to be pretty accurate and very comfortable. I would highly reccomend getting one if you like the pedometer features along with a litlte more data. I am a…

I have been on my weight loss journey for a long time. I have my door open to any and all positive support! I have a good support system at home, but often people don't understand the difficulty that comes with this journey if they haven't experienced it. Add me and I'll add you! We can help each other!
