  • I love Nutella but I have recently found this alternative. http://ilovepeanutbutter.com/index.php/peanut-butter-1/darkchocolatedreams.html Dark Chocolate Dreams from Peanut Butter & Co. It is a little more expensive but it is very good and has less sugar than Nutella. Oh yeah, they also have many other flavors which are…

  • Everybody here is great. Very helpful, supportive and motivating. You can reach your goals. This will be a long journey and it may be hard to stay committed some times but we are here to help. I am in a similar scenario. I weighed 385lbs at the beginning of September. I had been using the calorie counting app for my phone…
  • I would be happy to join your support system. I have been able to lose 22lbs so far and actually keep it off with the support and motivation of my friend's on MFP. I was using the calorie counter app on my phone without much success until I got involved with the community.
  • Hi Molly, Nice to meet you. I was using the MFP phone app for close to a year, seeing up's and down's of a few pounds but since I have joined the community I have actually been able to keep the weight off. It is great to see my friend's progress to stay motivated and use their support to help me through the tough days.
  • Hi there! I live in Rockville which is a MD suburb of DC that is about 20 miles North-West. Unfortunately I am not a runner so I can't really give you advice on that. There are park areas around though and you can run on the National Mall. What neighborhood of DC are you moving to if you don't mind me asking? Adams Morgan…
  • I find Edy's fruit bars to be delicious. http://www.edys.com/brand/fruitbars/flavorlisting.asp?b=136 If I'm craving chocolate I will have some Dove Promises Almond Dark Chocolate. http://www.dovechocolate.com/Product/Detail?p_id=13 Not for the inspirational message inside but because they are really good and the size is…
  • I vote stubbly drag queen. Plus shaving will be much less painful and not nearly as expensive.
  • Wow, there is lot's of buzz in this thread. Ok since I have already joined a Halloween and Christmas challenge, my goal for New Years is going to be a little more than 25lbs from today. Halloween Challenge GW 355 Christmas Challenge GW 340 New Years Challenge GW 330 Former Weight: 385 Current weight: 363
  • Just wanted to say thanks for the site!
  • Can't agree more with MIMITIME. I have found all the friendly people and the phone app to be just what I need to stay motivated. I think you will definitely be able to reach your goals as a part of the MFP community.
  • Being 5' 11" I have never considered myself short until reading this thread. I'm going to go cry in the corner now. Seriously though, I couldn't imagine being much taller than 6' 2" maybe and 6' 8" seems ridiculous. I wouldn't want to have to lean down to walk through doorways.
  • I think I have you all beat...27 years old with 170ish lbs to lose. I have found lots of friendly people here to help keep me motivated and lose 20lbs already. I always like new friends.
  • Hi Stacey! Glad to have you on board. Firstly let me say congratulations on beating cancer. There are plenty of very helpful, motivating people here on the message boards. Good job implementing a healthier meal once a week. You definitely are taking the right approach to this. It is a marathon and not a sprint and changing…
  • Hi Chloe, I will gladly be a part of your support network. I have found it very helpful to see my friend's accomplishment to help stay motivated myself.
  • I have found that seeing people progressing is helping to keep me motivated. Friend request sent.
  • Hi Steve, I think you will find that the people here are really nice and helpful as you can see from your thread. Keep logging in and and you will find that it gets really easy to stay on track. I had been using the MFP phone app on and off since last year but failed to make any progress until I started using the website…
  • Do it with the help of MFP! I found that using the site reguarly and stay in touch with MFP friends has definitely helped me stay on track. Good luck reaching your goals.

  • I wouldn't necessarily say your triceps are out of shape or that you are using poor form. The tricep area will get engaged in both of those exercises that you mentioned.
  • I was going to the gym to lift iron but a pesky wrist injury had me sidelined for a bit. I am planning to start up next week because I'm feeling a lot better. I can't really get on board with the how workout DVD's. One of my favorite exercises is squats and I just wouldn't feel safe doing them at home with a proper rack…
  • At the top of the message boards page there are a few tabs Home > Recent Posts > My Topics > Signature > Search You can find any thread you posted in in the My Topics tab.
  • I would like to do this as well. Firstly, hi everybody, my name is Greg. I am also taking part in the "Lose a Pumpkin by Halloween" challenge. CW: 371 GW: 340
  • * I never learned how to ride a bike with training wheels. When I was 3 years old my parents got me a bike with training wheels and tried to get me to ride but I refused. Then a couple months later I picked up a bike without training wheels and just started riding down the driveway at my grandparents house. * I once got…
  • I have my 40oz. brushed stainless Klean Kanteen sitting here on the desk with me. They have a 27oz. option that should suit your needs just fine. I just looked at the website...they have come a long way since I bought mine. I think mine is at least 4 years old now and it's just as sturdy as it was when I bought it.
  • I would suggest getting involved in group activities that you have interests in. I have met plenty of women that I have realized we didn't have that spark but still remain friends by doing things that I am interested in. I am a straight, single male at the moment and generally I am not seeking out a companion but I found…
  • Personally, I mess up oatmeal whenever I try to make the steel cut oats. I have found an instant oatmeal that is fantastic though. Nature's Path Organic Instant Hot Oatmeal Flax Plus w/ Omega-3. I add some raisins and cinnamon and I'm good to go.
  • I know your pain but unfortunately my office does it all year long. I just have to avoid it. I like the idea about the fruit bowl. I may have to do that one of these days.
  • Welcome to MFP. Sorry but I am not familiar with PCOS at all. Good luck getting things under control and returning to your "normal" self. I'm sure there are some friendly people around the forums who know what you are going through. Edit: Just came across this thread that you might be interested in.…
  • Hi, Bree. Welcome to MFP! I know it can be challenging to add a workout routine into a busy schedule. Try adding a little bit at a time. Getting some exercise is better than none. Good luck.
