I feel like joining the community side of it is going to help a lot. Good luck getting started back up again. How long have you been in Maryland? Do you like it? I was…

  • I agree with Dani. I now think of it as a lifestyle change. I had a lot of problems losing and keeping off the weight, mainly keeping it off like yourself when I thought of it as dieting. Good luck on your journey. Feel free to add me if you would like.

  • Hi Carina, Yeah numbers on the scale can be very deceiving. Muscle weighs more than fat so you can lose the fat but retain and possibly even gain weight. Focus more on what you see in the mirror rather than what's on the scale. A lot of people I know also find it helpful to take photos to keep a record of their progress.…

  • Hahaha! Good point!
  • I like your water zen. Personally, I love water. I drink at least 1/2 gallon a day for me and usually closer to 1 1/2 gallons. My body always lets me know if I didn't drink enough but unfortunately rewards me with frequent trips to the restroom. Edit: I'm very interested with the infusion pitcher. Sounds like it could…
  • Congratulations! It will definitely be pricey to replace your whole wardrobe but it it so worth it.
  • Restaurants are tricky. Your estimates sound pretty good in my opinion but it is hard to tell. As mamashatzie said, definitely expect butter or oil for then panini. After all, that what makes them so crispy and good. I think you have a good strategy of trying to plan what you eat during the rest of the day. Stay a little…

  • Welcome to MFP. I had the same problem too, I thought I was eating healthy but I really had no idea how many calories I was actually eating. I have learned a lot about portion control and calories in my short time here. Good luck getting back to pain free salsa dancing. As a man I would just assume that wearing high heels…
  • Welcome to MFP. You can achieve your goals. I recommend getting the smart phone app if you get a chance it makes it really easy to stay conscious of what you are eating.
