  • I can not do either the girly pushups or the real ones. But at the same time: I never could. Even as a teenager when I was in good shaped and had abs and everything. Mostly this is due to my carpal tunnel. I try to make myself do the girly ones as well, and when I get good at those I will try and push myself to do the real…
  • I felt SO much better when I woke up this morning. I still have all kinds of muscle soreness, but I no longer feel like I'm covered in bruises. haha. Day 3 went, I'm able to do more that I couldn't before but still have to stop frequently. Just keep pushing.

  • Sarah, first you have to upload your picture to a photo host. Photobucket is a great option. They even give you the IMG code you need, except for these forums you need to make the IMG into non-caps. img. Or it won't work. good luck! I wasn't going to post mine until the end, because I LOVE the comparison pictures. But I…
  • I was also planning to do it every day and maybe take a day off but have been told by several that I'm supposed to do a day of this, a day of cardio, a day of 30ds, a day of cardio, and back and forth. I'm not sure I want THAT many break days from it. I am planning to take at least one day off a week at least. But right…

  • I woke up this morning in so much pain. My thighs hurt so badly and the muscles through my back were so angry. I made myself do day 2, but it was hard to make myself get started. Yowwwwww. The first set of lunges? Literally made me scream out loud. It can only get better because it can't possibly feel any worse.

  • It appears someone accidentally put their info into the labels. I'm going to see if I can fix it. To the person who put their info in at the top, I just moved all of your info down. I'm unsure which was first, right or left, so I assumed. If anyone can remember feel free to fix that. For everyone else, please be sure not…
  • I took some this morning on my computers webcam but won't be posting them till the end.
  • I'm asthmatic, so that was all kinds of painful. Not to mention my carpal tunnel in my right wrist was pretty angry about the pushups, even the modified ones. But I did it. I tried to keep up but had a few breaks for breathing and some water. I need the water. Here's to tomorrow and trying not to die.

  • My favorite NSV from this year was putting on my scrawny little husbands wedding band. I stopped breathing for a second I was in shock. haha. And when I say this man is scrawny I mean SCRAWNY. I've never been able to wear his wedding band. The NSV I'm looking forward to in 2012 is putting on my Bridesmaid dress from my…
  • I took my measurements yesterday and added them. For the bust measurement I'm assuming you want across the bust instead of under the breasts. I'm looking forward to this and am hoping to shed at least 5inches off my waist and hips.
  • I haven't really been mocked much for being fat. Most of the mocking happened when I was younger and was super skinny. I'd get things like "You're anorexic." "You must never eat." "Crackhead" etc. None of which was true, I was just one of those exceptionally thin teenagers. Metabolism didn't last though, eventually my…
  • Well done and keep it up! Since you have infrequent access to a scale I would suggest getting a tape measure from a craft store and taking measurements once a month as well. That will help you keep better track of your weight changes in the meantime. And those inches dropped are amazing, let me tell ya. haha. As for the…
  • I don't think this is about making excuses for being overweight. This is about the science of weight gain and loss. I'm interested in the hows and whys because it leads to better decision making on my part. Isn't that part of calorie counting anyways? The science aspect. Most dieters know not all calories are equal, but…
  • I'm loving all of these! Please everyone, keep sharing! I come here specifically for the success stories because they are so motivating!
  • Everyone looks awesome! Here is to more success in the new year! I started my weight loss in June. I've lost 26lbs since than. In May I went to the Cherry Blossom Festival with some friends, as soon as they posted the pictures I felt miserable. I looked terrible. It was a definite "Am I really that big?!" moment. So first…
  • This killed me! And secretly made me want to go out and buy myself some mens tightie whities! hahah. I either wear my old too large underwear because I'm sure it will cover my whole butt and stay there or nothing. But I exercise at home. All of my new VS undies slide up my butt if I wear them while exercising.
  • I still need to pick up the DVD(will do this week), but I'm in. I was planning to do this when I hit goal(140lbs) but what's a few pounds early? I'll need to remind myself to do measurements and pictures on the 1st.
  • You are looking awesome! Well done, both of you! That must have been awesome to take a picture of your new slimmer selves for your Christmas card!
  • Okay, THIS cracked me up. I'd do the cookies to be honest with you. Eat one, it's Christmas. Put the rest back in the jar. Or make a show of having the kids count the cookies the night before so they can see how many Santa ate that night. It would also give you an excuse to put out less the following year "Oh, Santa only…
  • Congrats! It's amazing when it clicks that we've let things get too far. Also, you are wearing my wedding dress! Sorry, the very first thing I noticed was that. haha
  • I'm going to jump on with the "I feel taller" and as someone who is pretty darned short that's a fun turn of events. The weirdest thing for me was when I went to put on one of my skinny elastic headbands I frequently use to keep my hair back it slid right back off my head. O.o I went to my husband and was like "My head…
  • Two things. The first was six months of trying to conceive and failing to do so. Realizing pushing myself to lose weight could help. It hasn't helped yet(and I've lost more than 10% of my original body weight but have only just broken into a healthy BMI range), but in the end this is for more than a baby. And the second…
  • Wow, that's 10 pounds?! Tell us what you're doing! I've got about 10lbs to goal but was starting to feel convinced ten pounds may not be enough.
  • Oh is this hard to do. I started at 170lbs, this morning the scale said 148.6. I've lost more than twenty pounds and have less than ten till my goal weight. In the pictures of me facing forward I am absolutely not sucking anything in: I see a HUGE difference and that's what I needed to see after not being able to complete…
  • That is such an amazing difference! Way to go!
  • I too love how much happier you look as the pictures progress. =D
  • That is just 20lbs?! That is amazing! It looks like so much more! Wow, great job!
  • This thread is amazingly inspirational!
