Anyone who thinks weight loss surgery is the easy way out is an uninformed person who doesn't know anything about weight loss surgery.

Food is fuel for your body. It is not to be used to distress, relieve boredom or other emortional reasons. You need to learn other ways to deal with your emotions if you want to be successful with your weight loss. Go for a walk, call a friend, read a book, post here!

It could happen when you can't exercise. You lose muscle along with fat when you don't. A high protein, low carb diet can help preserve the muscle until you can get back to resistance training again.

I do Atkins and I can testify it works! I was 356 and lost more than 200 pounds. You don't need to give up caffine, but you do need to limit your artificial sweeteners if they cause cravings. It is a great diet for diabetics. If you go to the Atkins website, there is all the information you need for all phases when you…

Carbs make you hungry. They are the least hunger satisfying. Protein and fat are best for not feeling hungry and giving energy. Carbs sap your energy. The body has no requirement for carbs but you will die without adequate protein and fat. So why is the "normal" diet so carb heavy? It keeps the food manufacturers in…

You aren't going to get a very accurate one for $20. Those that clip on a bra are activity/pedometer monitors. For the best accuracy, a cheaper pedometer must be worn on your belt in line with your knee.

Part of the reason for this diet is to see if you can follow directions and do what is required because those who succeed with lweight loss surgery have to comply with dietary restrictions for the rest of their life. 1200 calories give you adequate nutrition and losing as much weight as possible before surgery will improve…

You don't have to exercise but be aware that you will lose ,muscle along with fat and end up flabby with a higher BF contant than one who exercises and tones her body. You won't be4 as healthy asone who eats properly and exercises.

You are the one spouting nonsense. There's plenty of evidence to support this, but I'm sure you wouldn't accept it.
-
I'm low carb, too. You can add me as a friend.

If you are truly doing low carb diet as it is supposed to be you are getting too many carbs with 25%. I keep my carb/protein ration at twice as much protein (100 grams) as carbs (50 grams) and the rest is fat. Fat and protein are not the enemy of weight loss or good health but refined carbs such as grains and processed…

Carbs cause you to retain 4 grams of water for each gram of carbs. So you will be carrying water weight. I cut back on carbs and the weight came off quickly and I'm 72 years old.

Muscle is not heavier than fat. Muscle takes up less volume than fat. Are you weighing and measuring your food or just eyeballing it? You need to weigh and measure. Ditch the chips and snack on a piece of fruit or veggies. If you don't give your body adequate nutritients it will hold onto every ounce.

I doubt you only ran up the stairs, you had to come down, too so you didn't do 22 minutes. How old are you, are you male or female, your current weight, how fast you actually ran all have to be taken into account.

Your been depriving yourself of good health by bad eating habits that have caused you to gain weight so why do you think you are depriving yourself by doing what is necessary to be healthy? Weight loss is all about choices...we either choose to do what is necessary to loose weight or we choose not to and suffer the…

Unless you only eat only meat, poultry and seafood, you can't give up on all carbs. There are carbs in fruits, vegetables and dairy. I do not eat grains in any form. Read "Grain Brain" for a real eye opener. I feel so much better without them and I also don't eat processed foods. The body has no requirement for any carbs…

Another load of hogwash. Not even supported by concrete facts. If you eat too little protein you will die. If you eat too little carbs you will live because the body has no requirement for carbs.

Never ever reward yourself with food if you want to be successful. Food is fuel for the body, it is not a reward. The 195 calories is probably closer to being correct.
-
That's not true. According to your misinformation, I should be in a wheelchair for I'm a low carber. I'm 72 years old, spend 2 hours a day at the gym and and fit and healthy with no joint disease.

No one who has been anorexic should be thinking about weight loss. They should be thinking about what it takes to get healthy and stay there. Why would you want to lose weight after anorexia recovery?
-
You haven't worked out long enough to gain muscle. It's normal for weight to vary from day to day.

Starvation mode is a myth. Why people keep this going is beyond me.
-
It's not crazy. I've been doing 1000 calories a day - supervised by my doctor - and I've lost fat and gained muscle. Food choices are what makes the difference.

Whey protein powder of a good quality does not contain gluten or soy.

Carbs deserve their bad rap. Look around you at the size of the people who eat a lot of them.
-
Since those are normal daily activities for you, I'd keep it on sedentary. Your body is used to doing them.
-
Can you tell me why there are requirements by the body to have fat and protein but we can live well with absolutely no carbs? I suggest you get informed. As for needing carbs for exercise, that has been proven to be false. The body converts fat and protein to glucose just fine. Think of eskimos - protein and fat and no…

They are terrible. Over processed, not enough protein, heavy on carbs and sodium. I make extra dinner and take it for lunch.,

I'm more afraid of heart attacks, diabetes, stroke and other complications than loose skin. Get your priorities in order!

You are probably moving around in the bed, turning over, etc.
