  • I usually gain 3-4 lbs. But once it's over I notice the extra weight is gone, but I don't usually lose any.
  • Maybe you might want to investigate why you feel self conscious. When we're teenagers we have what psychologist call "the imaginary audience" where we think the world revolves aruond us and where we believe that everyone cares about us. I found that I had continued this belief about working out. I thought everyone was…
  • You look amazing! WTG! You started at the weight my hubby is now and he's trying hard to lose weight. I sent him this post link so he could be encouraged that it is possible! Thank you for sharing!
  • It's okay to treat yourself! If you don't and you deprive yourself of little luxuries you'll get into a nasty cycle of deprivation than ends up in bingeing. So go out, enjoy, just do it all in moderation!
  • Feel free to friend me! I'm sort new but I find the more friends I have the more motivated I am!
  • Tomorrow is a new day. Don't beat yourself up as you're allowed a treat every once in awhile. Beating yourself up isn't going to change what you ate. Give yourself permission to slip up and to have treats. By restricting treats and feeling guilty, shameful, and like a failure you set yourself up to binge.

  • I try to do trail mix...I make my own. Mixed nuts (pecans, walnuts, and brazil nuts) with ghirardelli all natural 60% dark chocolate chips. Satisfying and a tiny bit sweet. Keep in mind nuts have alot of calories, but a handful is enough to satisfy.
  • Okay, I took some time to view your diary. You do seem to eat balanced, but your sugar intake and carb intake to me looks high and carbs are digest VERY fast meaning to use them will mean you are hungry a few hours later. Maybe you could increase your protein intake with things like Tuna, lean (organic) deli meants, lean…
  • Not sure if this answers your question but during my TOM, I crrrraaave salt and sweet together and I find that if I allow myself to satisfy that craving, I'm less likely to binge. Is it possible that you have cravings you are denying, and the overcompensating by binging? I find listening to my body and satisfying what it…
  • In Defense of Food and Good Calories, Bad Calories are great books about cards. Try eating whole grains, and getting your carbs from things like greek yogurt and berries instead of bread. Also eating the more starchy veggies like zucchini and squash will up your carbs and your fiber intake to a healthy level. And don't…
  • I know it's expensive, but a body bugg is a great investment and will accurately tell you what you are burning.
  • Maybe the problem is in trying to take the fast food away altogether. Instead of saying "I'll never eat fast food" you can say "I'll have one day I'm allowed to eat it." This way you don't get into the horrible cycle of: -banning a food -succeeding for awhile but ultimately failing -feeling shame, guilt, and failure which…
  • Change up your workout routine...your body can and does adapt to a routine so shake it up.....do some strength training and concentrate on the biggest muscle groups with low weight and hi reps. Go walking or do interval walking/jogging. Also maybe switch up your eating. I hit a plateau and so I replaced my normal low fat…
  • I think that's a great idea! It's good motivation!
  • keep up the great work! You look fabulous!
  • You look amazing! Keep up the good work!
  • Have you tried eating more protein? Protein takes longer to digest and keeps you fuller longer than the low-fat carbohydrate choices (like waffles or special k bars...) Just a thought...maybe it will curb the constant hunger so that you can stay within your calorie goals.
