Unbelivable- that's the same exact thing that happened to me last Sunday (except that I wasn't second ;)! I had enough energy left to push but I knew that by doing that I would have thrown up... bummer!!!

I saw your great accomplishments so I should probably trust you :) THANK YOU!

I'd say 10 cups (my usual) the day before but I'm afraid I didn't drink plenty on the morning of the race... And I never drink during runs shorter than 8 miles becuase I don't feel the need, plus water+running doesn't agree with me... Probably I should try to drink more on the morning of the race and try as much as I can…

Thank you for your answer- I had a similar problem during some of my training runs but I know it was probably because I was pushing way to hard. That's the same thing that happened during my last 5K- I pushed too hard during the first 2Ks and as a result I had no energy left and I almost threw up the banana I had 2hrs…

Thank you so much for your answers!

Wow! A whole minute is just awesome!

You're crazy buddy ;)

Congrats and good luck!

Lol, carbs represent 55%-60% of my diet ;)

Hi! I'd switch you dinner options with your lunch options- you should have most of your carbs BEFORE your run a proteins AFTERWARDS. I believe your food choices are really good, I just would have the pasta/quinoa/rice with chicken and co. for lunch and the rest for dinner. Oatmeal and nuts for breakfast is a great choice!…

CONGRATS!!! Especially because it shows that you lost the extra weight in the right way- your body looks stunning, no loose skin! Really, way to go!

Well said! I have to say that since I started running, I also started to love my body more and more every day. It's amazing when you think that with effort and patience you have the power to train and transform it the way you want! My body is not perfect and probably I'll never be 100% satisfied with it. However, I can…

I find the macros from MFP a little messed up- proteins level is too low and carbs level is too high IMO (I even discussed this with my friends on here). I am a runner and I usually load on carbs and healthy fats before my evening runs and have proteins afterwards. Although my diet usually consists in 55% carbs, 20% fat,…

Hey, every post has a title- if you see from the title that it is a question you already heard about and you don't feel like reading it/ answering to it, just don't. People are not asking you directly. No need to get so annoyed. Old timers are fed up of seeing the same questions and therefore they feel they have the right…

Great job! Congratulations! So what did you end up eating for dinner and breakfast? i have a 5k coming up and Im always happy to hear what fellow runners have to say!

...and you should be!!! Congratulations to you, very well done!!!

You're such a strong, determined woman Charlie! Keep up with your wonderful job!

I didn't read the article you posted but I can tell you as much: when I was 16, I was a little chubby. Not overweight, but I needed to lose some pounds in order to swim faster (I used to play waterpolo). The doctor didn't give me a specific diet- the only thing he said was: "eat carbs for lunch and proteins for dinner. Do…

Very interesting, thank you for posting! I love Runners World! However, I'm confused about the "even pace rule." Runners World says you should run at an even pace during your 5k/10k race. However, I read 2 more articles about this matter on the same website. The first said you should run a certain type of negative split…

Not really- my BF always annoys me saying I eat too little (I'm on a 1240cal per day and feel great) or I over-think my food options too much...
