Personally I don't think that someone singing at the gym counts as "normal noise." If someone's doing it on purpose, I'd actually think that it's kind of rude to force everyone around you to listen to your singing. However, I feel like sometimes people that have their ipods on might think that they're only mouthing the…

Not at all! It's a good picture
-
It's BEDMAS: brackets (or parenthesis if you've learned it like that), exponents, divison and multiplication in the order in which they appear, and then addition and subtraction IN THE ORDER IN WHICH THEY APPEAR. The answer is 7.

Not at all actually. I don't care if people want to limit their friends to blonde lesbians that are 5 feet tall. Do what you like. I just think that people are cutting out a lot of opportunities for great friends by refusing to accept male friends. I've replied with my opinion, but I don't see how I've been "trying to…

Thank you!! I didn't mean to be rude or anything, I was just wondering if there was a reason for this that I was missing out on
-
I was wondering the same thing. Maybe I'm wrong, but I kind of feel like a lot of the women who refuse to have male friends would call it sexist if a guy tried to do the same thing
-
Hmm, I don't know about that. I think women are just less judgemental to your face. In general, guys will tell you the truth, women will tell everyone EXCEPT you the truth
-
Well anyway, any guys who don't intend on asking for/sending strange pictures are more than welcome to send a friend request my way. No girls allowed! Kidding. Seriously though, mfp is about getting/giving support to people just like you that are trying to get healthy. So jeez people, just support each other!
-
Such a good episode. I was mildly horrified, but still.
-
Agreed! While these sort of pictures definitely don't justify sexual harassment, if you present yourself as easy, don't be pissed when people treat you as such.
-
Agreed!
-
I love everything about this post.
-
Aww, that's sad that girls gave you trouble growing up! I really like this answer. It's a really good reason. If you're ever looking for more friends, feel free to send a request my way. :)
-
That's true. That's a very reasonable reason. :)
-
^^Agreed!
-
I guess it does help you to stay on track when you have friends that are in a similar place with similar goals. That's a very valid reason :)
-
As someone whose closest friends are all male, I was just curious why people would go out of their way to avoid male friendships. Not that I need to be "explaining myself on an issue that doesn't even affect you"
-
Those are some pretty impressive bits right there ;)
-
I do the same thing!! I usually just find the things I'm suppose to be offended by funny
-
You're right, and personally it doesn't bother me at all. People can accept whoever they want to. I just couldn't think of a valid reason that would make me want to never accept friend requests from guys. So I just wanted to hear some of the reasons that girls have.
-
:O Nope, I can't say I've ever had that happen, not on mfp anyway!
-
I guess that's an obvious reason, but it didn't really occur to me. I'm an engineering student, so I'm constantly surrounded by guys, and therefore I have no shame at all about saying pretty much anything about my TOM in front of my guy friends. That's probably not a good thing, but hey, I have to b**** to someone, right
-
It's understandable considering you can never actlly be sure of who you're talking to when you're part of an online community
-
No, that's a perfectly reasonable and valid reason. I've just seen it specifed on people's profiles so many times that I was wondering if there actually was a lot of harassment or something that people were getting.
-
Haha! I love this!! Feel free to add me if you're looking for more friends! :)
-
I guess, but enough to go out of their way to specify that male friend requests won't be accepted? I just don't understand why. It's mind boggling to me. What's wrong with male friends?
