I usually go by the calories Strava gives me for walking and running. Based on the calculations given for running 3 miles Strava gives me an extra 50 calories but for walking 12 miles it gives me an extra 1200 😳. Obviously that calculation doesn’t take into account elevation and speed but that’s still a massive difference.

Probably not, I may have to resort to buying longer socks just to keep my ankles warm

My Strava has also stopped syncing with MFP. I have noticed that this happened at the same time as MFP updated on my phone (25th July). Wonder if it's something to do with that update?

Hi, I'm new! From Sheffield...feel free to add me.

Thanks...I'm determined to do it this time. I also think starting to run will help. I walk a lot (15 miles on a good walk) and I've found I'm getting breathless on the big hills which is a sure sign I'm in trouble.

I've considered it and tried my son's a few times but it doesn't seem to do anything for me...no idea why. I definitely think it's psychological for me as I can go days without smoking when I'm with my boyfriend (ex-smoker and doesn't know I'm still smoking

I'm 170lbs at the moment (did get down to 165 but was a pig over Xmas) and in a 14. I have a pair of size 12 jeggings from M&S that are my pride and joy :-)
