  • Just remember to rinse them!
  • I'm a vegetarian also, ask away!
  • It's one of my goals in life actually!
  • Amazing! Congrats on finishing it. There aren't many people that can say they stuck with it the whole time.
  • 5'8" here too! I'm at 163.5 now and at my lowest in my adult life I was 135lbs. I'm pretty small framed but I'm figI don't want to get that low, as some have said previously, I look anorexic at that weight. 145lbs is my current goal but if I get to a point where the rest of me stops moving when I do and I don't giggle when…
  • It's great to set new goals for yourself and sometimes trying something new and being accountable for it makes you hit that goal much quicker. I think many of us are on MFP to be accountable to anyone for what we are eating and how much exercise we get. I saw go for it. Maybe look up the "couch to 5k" program?
  • You're welcome. You may want to schedule an appointment with a physical therapist. The one I went to has people come in just to get in shape. They are people that have physical limitations due to previous injury or arthritis and they help them figure out activities that won't hurt. It's worth a phone call at the very…
  • Standing deadlifts are also great for your legs. Basically you stand on 1 foot and bend over to touch the ground stand back up. I would search of a better description or video as well.
  • If you have a stability ball these are great: http://www.acefitness.org/exerciselibrary/59/stability-ball-hamstring-curl I recently had my 3rd knee surgery and did a lot of these at physical therapy.
  • Are you losing inches? Sometimes it's better to track in inches lost rather than pounds, especially if you haven't seen any weight loss.
  • A pound a week is the healthy way to go! It sounds like you are doing everything right but may want to increase your cardio and add some weight training.
  • My moment was when I was wearing shorts for the first time this year and had bent over to pick something up. I looked at my legs, and they had never lacked tone before and now they do. I knew I needed to change my approach to food and fitness. I had never been so lazy as I had in the last 6 months. I like having a…
  • Crossfit has some good workouts to do with little or no equipment that are short. I especially like "Annie" but I replace the double-unders with tuck jumps. The workout is: 50 tuck jumps 50 sit ups 40 tuck jumps 40 situps 30 tuck jumps 30 sit ups 20 tuck jumps 20 sit ups 10 tuck jumps 10 sit ups and you do it as fast as…
  • I'm doing the lean program for P90x. Will I still need to be patient and get to the 3rd month to see a big difference?
  • I've done p90x and you have to buy some equipment for it to really get the benefit. From what I've heard about Insanity you don't need weights, bands, pull up bars etc. I haven't lost much weight with p90x yet, I'm only 2 weeks in, but I have become more toned. For me the toning and overall health benefits are more…
