I have the 5 mile advanced walk and one of the miles uses hand weights. It may be the same though, she uses some miles on several different DVD's. The 3 Mile Weight loss Walk uses hand weights on two of the miles according to a review on amazon.com. Walk away the Pounds: Super Fat Burner also uses weights.

While you have to stay off of your leg I would do punches, Jillian Micheals says that it is a great low impact cardio workout . After your leg is healed maybe swimming laps. That is No impact but burns tons of calories!

I can tell you that it was pretty accurate for me, I stuck to the amount of calories and lost exactly what it told me that I would. It is also very similar to the # that mfp gave me.

At the gym where I used to work they had a test that you could do, it took 9 minutes and you breathed through a tube in and out like you normally would. I am a weakling. I used 2lbs for Level 1 and then moved up to 3lbs as I felt stronger. I used 4lbs for some circuits on Level 3. Second time around I didn't need the 2lbers at all. I had just started exercising again for the first time in 4 years when I started 30ds though. My hubby used 4lbs for all levels.

They are only 99cents at the Dollar Tree! I have to buy them often because my 2 year old likes to play with them/break them.

I am on day 28 and have lost 7lbs. It is not as much of a weight loss as Jillian suggests that you can achieve but it was more than a lbs a week and I have been eating as close to possible as MFP suggests. I am taking measurements the day after I finish. I am sure that I lost inches, my pants are falling off.
