I usually put it in a pony tail holder and then use a clip to hold the pony tail up (making it shorter so it doesn't hit my neck). That holds good except during high impact, in which case it usually get shook down :) One that doesn't look to pretty, but I've done it, is to make braided pigtails and then use a clip to hold…

5'8" and 151 lbs... size 6 or 8 depending on the store :)

Your heart rate monitor will only tell you calories burned if it has the kcal function... look in your instructions book to see if it tells you anything about that.

Roxie... calories burned depends on soooo many things... age, weight, heart rate, current level of fitness, height, exercise duration, etc etc etc. I'm 5'8", so I'm gonna burn more calories than someone who is 5'2"... when I do TK I do it for an hour and I do it quite intensly... so I usually burn around 800 calories. So,…

Program will work if you do them. All Beachbody programs are fully designed for success... they come with workout calendars, diet guides, etc... and you WILL succeed if you do them as they are supposed to be done.

I did Power 90 (P90) which is a fully designed program of strength and cardio... it helped me shed 25 lbs. Since then I've used other Beachbody programs and have continued to excel in health and fitness... and have dropped more weight. They work if you do them as laid out. They don't work if they just collect dust on your…

Seriously, the 20's don't have to be hard (life in general doesn't have to be hard) if you don't let it. YOU need to define yourself... not your friends, not your family, not the media. Sure, they may "pressure" you, but it's your choice to give in to that pressure or ignore it and stay true to yourself. So find what you…

Yep, she's an aerials artist (and other circus/acrobatic formats as well)... she's fit, gorgeous and amazing! She inspires me to stay strong and flexible and to do what I love :) She seriously LOVES her job... and I don't blame her :) She inspired me to try out aerials... and I have been for some months now... I tells ya,…

PPS - don't alienate yourself... but go out and then lead by example by showing them that despite going some place that you'll stick to your guns and your plan :)

PS - if you are winning and part of the rules are a free lunch methinks they owe you one :)

Just because you don't have calorie counts doesn't mean that you still couldn't go and order something you recognize as being healthy. I'm sure you've been doing this long enough that you recognize the main calorie and fat culprits on the menu. Or if in doubt, only eat half the meal and bring half home. Eating healthy is…

Dannon is not quite as "creamy" as Yoplait... but it also doesn't have both aspartame AND high fructose corn syrup in it... and it's lower in calories :)

Do an internet search for a list of glycemic indexes on fruits... pick the ones with a lower glycemic index which you enjoy :)

When it comes to 20's, 30's, 40's and beyond, I don't plan on letting that affect me. I plan on aging gracefully and timelessly :) This is my hero, Dreya Weber, and she's in her 40's.

I disagree... had my parents helped me with portion control at a young age then I wouldn't have grown into an obese child who got teased all the time. Life lessons need to start young, and family members need to lead by example. I'm not saying that I wouldn't let my kid get candy on Halloween, but I would put a limit on…

Oh yes... Back in 2004 at the age of 24 I started my fitness journey. Start weight: 182 Current weight: 153 Goal weight: 140 (give or take... more interested in a body fat % goal than a scale goal). I was down to 145 at one point, but even with going back up to 153 I wear the same clothes... so I attribute it to muscle…

One of my magazines had a recipe for making pasta noodles from butternut squash :) It'll be a good time to experiment with good recipes :) Like others said... check out Whole Foods!

Start with the basic diet plan that MyFitnessPal lays out for you (guided)... once you have that set at the calorie level you want go back to the "my goals" page and go into the "custom" diet plan... you can alter the percentages of your carbs/fat/protein that way. That's what I do, as I want high protein intake than MFP…

Actually, most broth based soups are quite good for you. It's those cream soups that get you. So, I'd recommend getting some all natural broth based soups (or get some chicken or veggie broth and make your own). Stop worrying about it too much... you'll worry yourself sick (or prolong it).

If you are diabetic you may want to stick to fruits that have a lower glycemic index.

Anything marketed as a "DIET" is a scam... you are just going to end up starving yourself and slowing your metabolism. However, Acai berries do have health benefits and can be added as a supplement into your current food intake (but, if you already eat plenty of things with antioxidant benefits, the acai berries really…

Base your caloric intake on your own personal body... our bodies all have different needs. PS - I'm guessing by the calories in your yogurt that you are eating Yoplait Light... you know that Dannon Light only has 60 calories and the ingredients are better for you? That's a simple switch that could be made if you're worried.

Sorry to hear that... I have a kitty who gets sick and has broken my heart numerous times... so I know how hard it can be. (((HUGS))) I think most of us are emotional eaters... When we are upset it's ok to let ourselves feel it... but when it comes to the paths you choose to let out your emotions, be sure that you choose…

It's not until the 30's the women's metabolism really starts to slow. Sure, the 20's are hard (but what phase of life isn't?)... I'm almost through them now... but they've been GREAT years and I've accomplished a lot. So, don't let others' opinions of you weigh you down.. do things for YOURSELF to make YOU happy. I also…

When I started I did P90 (power 90)... got me in shape and helped me shed 25 lbs.

I gotta bump this puppy! Where are my gals at?

Women are not pre-determined to get bulky muscles (unless you take enhancing supplements OR have higher levels or testosterone in your body for a lady). So, whether you are lifting heavy weights or light weights w/many reps... you aren't going to "get bulky"

Still around, doing well... sore has heck (my classes + my regular workouts = soreness). Been dealing with sick kitty, sick me, but still cranking and doing my best. I'll be out of town this weekend, but I'm bringing a video with me.
-
I started with the Power 90 (P90) series... kicked my booty into shape and helped me drop 25 lbs.

I miss the salmon salad :( Yeah, I remember looking up nutrition info on lots of various sandwiches from "healthy" places... most rake in 800-1200 calories... crazy! So, it's best to skip any sauces on them, maybe even cut out the cheese, or when in doubt...eat half, save half for later.
