I reach for Flavored seltzer water when I want the texture of bubbles or to quench my thirst after a hot workout. It has no salt, no sugar and best of all zero calories! I consume very little to no food products with artificial sweeteners of any kind. There are some studies that prove they help you gain weight! ? But that…

Just a reminder that is honey is twice a "sweet" as sugar. When you substitute it in baking, the recipe change should be 1 cup of sugar or 1/2 cup honey.

Consider trying melatonin, safe and effective, over the counter at most drugstore chains. I think CVS has different "strengths", 2 mg, 5 mg or more.....try one about 20 minutes before you retire. Drink a full glass of water with it is what I have been told. I know many people who travel use it when in a new time zone to…

Most of these types of sweeteners are not good for any of us, those who are trying to lose weight and those who are not. Especially children who now get it in cereal, jello, pudding and tons of other foods. Please note that research has shown that those who drink diet soda with these sweeteners actually gain more weight…

The chlorine in a pool will help to dry it up, old home remedy: Apply apple cider vinegar. It is an acid so it dries it up, is certainly cheap enough~

Try a total reduction of all things in your diet that are wheat based.....yes, yes, yes I know whole grains etc. But I find that I lose only not pounds but stomach inches when I eliminate wheat products. I eat rice bread and rice cakes and I use rice pasta. Other breads, crackers, pretzels etc are all just crap anyway.

Every movement is better than none: consider doing experience sthat will assist your children to conenct their mind and body and even help them learn to read and write. Movements in place, marching, stretching, swing and sway, twist and turn, rise and sink....to music or just to the count of three and five etc. Do…

A very wise pediatrician once told me when I had my first child: the only thing you need to make plenty of rich milk is protein and lots of water! That is all a Moo Cow eats to make good milk and the protein for a cow comes from grains/grasses! So evaluate your protein, make it low fat and of good quality without risking…

Red beets might work, also since things are so warm already (as they are here), peas need to start soon. They are an early crop and then you can plant second harvest after they are done in the same space of something else.

Interesting information. Have you considered the genetic "family" of these foods? For example: watermelon, cataloupe, honey dew melons and cucumbers all come from related genetic species of foods. I have sensitivities to most of them in terms of digestion but can eat cucumbers as pickles. I am not sure if the vinegar…

I would just to add that I am not sure it is the breakfast or not that is question for you. When I looked at what you said you ate for breakfast it sounded way to high in sugar content.( 2 types of dried fruit and brown sugar) If I ate that much sugar in the AM, I would be asleep under a desk by 10 AM. I have to do…

Think out of the box and eat other types of foods: I have 1/2 of a ham or turkey sandwich every morning for breakfast. I cannot eat any wheat based products so I have one slice of rice bread, plain and just put 2 ozs of lunchmeat in the bread. It keeps me perking right along to lunch. Try nonfat yogurt with fresh fruit,…

I make my own flavored iced teas, I do not add any sweetener. If I had to use a little sweetener I would use honey adding it to the pot while it was still hot to fully dissolve. I also like flavored seltzer when I want the texture of bubbly- like soda. This product does not have anything but carbonated water and natural…

Most artificial sugars could cause gas and bloating. Some of them even become ethyl alcohol at 98.6 degrees ( most body temps). Read all your food product containers and packaging carefully to make sure how many doses of these products you are actually ingesting over the course of a full day. They are embedded in…

There are some good sites that tell you conversions from white to other types of flour. (Rice, barley, oat, corn etc) Just try a simple google search to see what you can find. I have tried using straight oat flour instead of white/wheat flour but got crumbly results even if I reduced the amount (product seems too dry). I…

You are on the right track with this shift in your thinking. Change is difficult for each of us in our own way. My husband does not even like it when I change the furniture around in the living room. The other aspect is that changing behaviors requires more motivation, drive and stick to it focus. The track that you are on…
