I have these ones, and I love them: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004WIOBP6/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. They're very comfortable, never even come close to falling out, and they have decent sound quality for the price.

Try xylitol or erythritol. They are completely natural, very much like sugar, and xylitol in particular is actually very good for your gut and your teeth (whereas sugar is terrible for both).

Picture yourself six months from now, and imagine you let this three day setback keep you from making progress toward your goals. You would look back and wish you hadn't, right? You can't change the past, but you can stop it from having an influence on your present. Have some self-compassion and let it go - start fresh,…

Another vote for Zombies 5K. Best app ever. It really does make adjusting to running fun.

I am also wondering about this - I've got PCOS and don't want to eat below my BMR either, but I'm conscious of the fact that the "standard" BMR calculators could be wrong for me. I was eating around 1300-1400 calories and losing, and I've stalled at approximately 1600 (to 1800 or so with exercise). I am going to give it…

Generally I add people who eat the way I do (paleo), simply because the paleo/primal boards are where I spend most of my time on here. I don't post enough to get many requests. I think I have gotten... two? Sad, unpopular times for me.

Hmm.. Sounds like an interesting option for sure. I will definitely consider it if my bloodwork comes back normal. It's very possible that I'm no longer insulin resistant, as the last set of blood tests I had done (about seven months ago) came back "normal" or better in all categories - a definite improvement over what my…

I know, I hardly ever hit my protein. I'm not sure what I should do to remedy that, though. I'm planning to increase calories, and definitely going to look at increasing the amount and variety of veggies I eat. My macros are currently set to 60% fat, 30% protein, and 10% carb. I have changed them a bunch of times, and I'm…

How much fat do you recommend? It's not uncommon for me to eat over 100g in a day (over 60% of my calories). Surely that's enough?

It's not that I don't like other veggies (apart from peppers - hate those!), I've just been focusing on eating dense sources of energy to ensure that I am eating enough fat to sustain my currently very to moderately low carb regimen. By the time I've eaten those, I'm not hungry - so it hasn't come naturally to add veggies…

Thanks so much for your opinions, everyone. I appreciate them. I'll definitely schedule some bloodwork and increase my veg consumption. I have been eating a TON of tomato and a fair amount of onion/zuchinni, but I agree that I need to be eating more spinach, for example. I'm staying away from fruits at the moment, as I'm…

I haven't - that's a good point. I can't imagine that I could be low on iron with the amount of meat I eat (a lot of it is red meat), but vitamin D could definitely be an issue. I don't take any supplements at the moment. I will definitely get a blood test and take a look - thanks!

Another vote for increasing your fat intake! That's what's helped me through so far. I felt like you did for quite a while, when I started my latest Whole30 - it took me about two weeks to get past my sugar cravings. I feel much, much better now (I'm over three weeks in), so I can tell you for sure that it gets a lot…

I'm a week into my second Whole30 at the moment, and would love some Paleo buddies. I'll friend you! :-)

Fast Paleo is a good recipe app - it's got the most recipes out of any I've tried. Primal Feed is good for information and keeping up to date with the latest findings. Unfortunately most of the great Paleo apps are made for iOS (iPhones and iPads). Nom Nom Paleo's cook book app is BEAUTIFUL (but no Android support). Highly…

You and I could be related. I'm also a definite sugar addict and cut out gluten and am attracted to the Paleo lifestyle AND don't have a lot of time to cook. I'm in the middle of a Whole30 at the moment, which is a really strict, 30 day elimination period meant to tell you if Paleo is "for you." I've done one before and…
