I really don't get much flak for it at all. I even converted my sister. (I'm super jeals because she's been hardcore and lost more weight than me.... Seeing her at Christmas was good motivation, though.)

10 months on very low carb (<30 net / day) never caused me a single problem. I've partially fallen off the wagon for the past month or so but am now going back to it. I haven't seen any compelling evidence that humans "need" a certain amount of carbs... especially in the form of starches or sugars.

Almost (soooooooo close) 100lb since May. I haven't done any exercise, just LCHF and intermittently calorie counting (sometimes I worry about it sometimes I don't).

I'll be 30 in Sept. Hopefully, I will be in the overweight-but-not-obese category by then. :)

One pound at time. One day at a time. I started at 352lb, so my goal was about 200lb, which definitely felt overwhelming. I try to focus on each small victory, like losing a pant size, rather than how much longer it's going to take to get down to my goal weight.

I'm suspect of this 60 carbs before drinking stuff... I've been eating <20 carbs / day for 6 months and drink almost every weekend. I'm still alive and well.

I've been doing Low Carb / High Fat for about six months and love it. If anyone wants to add me, please do.

I was feeling lazy this year, so I recycled last year's costume idea. Here's pictures of me as a gangster last year and this year.... even taken in the same place. My friend has done some decorating. ;-) http://i.imgur.com/RTCX5.jpg (I can't embed it because it's too wide.)

Week 1 - 300.0 Week 9 - 283.6 I didn't get as low as I had hoped. But, I really can't complain about eating bacon and losing weight. I don't have any costume pics, since I was at an out-of-town wedding this weekend. I should be dressing up on Wednesday night, though.

I've been doing Keto/LCHF since May. It's been great for me. I actually don't feel restricted. This diet has led me stop eating almost all processed foods and doing a lot more cooking. I'm always in the market for new friends, so add me. :-)

Fat and protein will satiate you better than carbs.

Week 1 - 300.0 Week 2 - 301.0 Week 3 - 297.0 Week 4 - 294.8 Week 5 - 292.8 I'm about 1 lb away from 60 since I started. :-D

Correlation does not equal causation.

I got an omelet at my work cafeteria for breakfast this morning. The cook used two half-cup-looking ladles of liquid egg. That works out to about 211 calories. I would bet your college cafeteria does about the same. Even if they gave you a whole ounce of feta, you're still in the 300 cal range for breakfast, which is…

Week 1 - 300.0 Week 2 - 301.0 Week 3 - 297.0 Week 4 - 294.8 Finally got some 1/10ths in there.

Twonderland. :-) Week 1 - 300.0 Week 2 - 301.0 Week 3 - 297.0 It's weird that my weigh-ins keep hitting whole numbers.

Grrrrr. I think I'm stalling out. I was under on my calories all week last week, so it's not that I need to be more careful. Hopefully, it's just water from dropping the last 5-10 kind of quickly. Week 1 - 300.0 Week 2 - 301.0

I drink vodka every weekend (mixed with diet soda). It hasn't been a problem, yet. My normal intake is ~5 drinks per night.

Today's weight: 300.0 I tried four times but the damn scale refused to give me the last 2/10ths to get me into twonderland, lol. Soon, though. Soon. My October 31st goal is 270; but I'll accept 275. My weight has been dropping at about 12-15lb/month up till now, so if I keep doing what I've been doing, I will get there.

I eat at least one serving of cheese every damn day. There's no reason to give it up. My only caveat would be that you need to be careful with portion sizes because the calories can add up fast.

$5, right?

Like krystachelle2 said, paleo/primal recipes are definitely a place to look. Those diets still allow eggs but shouldn't include grains. I cut out all of the grains as part of my very low carb diet. It's been a few months and I feel great without them.

Definitely more energy. I used to need to nap all the time and couldn't stay up late on the weekends. Now, I have more energy than my best friend who used to harass me for not having enough energy. I also stopped snoring, which may be part of the "more energy" thing (sleeping more restfully). I actually put effort into my…
