This. The difficult part is changing your thinking to remember that you are going to be cold no matter where you go! For so many years I left the house without a jacket and dressed light because I knew I would be hot. Changing perspective seems to be taking longer than losing the weight, which at times also feels like its…

Have you thought about getting a heart rate or activity monitor to get a more accurate idea of how many calories you are burning?

Being cold all the time, which I'm not sure I will ever get used to. Will my internal thermostat ever reset? Horribly dry skin, I feel like I go through gallons of every different kind of moisturizer and it does no good. Buying jeans... Can't buy ones with any spandex or they fall off, and I'm between sizes. Plus, even if…

I took Paxil for years, and it probably saved my life. I suffer from ADHD and OCD, as well as depression. I could only focus one one thing at a time, then I would get bored with it, and move on to the next thing and obsess about it. The only bad thing about Paxil for me was quitting it. I'd have horrible vertigo, and a…

Just remember to log everything. And I do mean everything. You'll eventually see a pattern. Like, I know if my husband is off work, I will go out to eat more. So I know on those days I may as well hit the treadmill harder in the morning to make up for what I will be eating later in the day.

I would be happy to join you. I started out at 255, and yes, losing weight can be difficult. The hardest part for me has been hitting a plateau, and not being able to break through it for months. A lot of that is on me though, I didn't want to change what had been working for something that might work. But I'm back on…

I will be honest. I track my macros, but I don't live by them. The calories in/ calories out is what I pay attention to.. And it works. If it stops working, I will tweak what I do to see if that makes a difference. I know that I do WAY better as long as I track what I'm eating, and when I exercise. And for the first time…

Come on now, people, everybody knows the only way to lose weight and keep it off is the grapefruit and apple cider vinegar diet.

That is truly and totally awesome. Congratulations!

Get a hand bike! I got one for my dad, he had bad knees and a back injury.

I'm a nursing student, and today I accomplished getting my ACLS (advanced cardiac life support) certification. One step closer, just keep swimming....

Beginning weight 255 lbs. this picture is what made me decide I needed to change my life. This is me at about 200. I've lost a little since then, but I can't get used to taking pictures of myself

Sometimes it is really difficult to stop the self-hate. I admire you for deciding you want to be healthier, but honestly and truly, you are not as big as you think you are. As far as exercise goes, any extra movement will help. I have bad knees, probably partly because at my largest I weighed 280 pounds. At that weight, I…

My husband freaks out a little more with every pound I lose. He's always been very insecure, and I think the idea of me ending up "hot" (the thought of that freaks me out a little bit too) is weirding him out. Of course, it probably doesn't help much that I tell him I want to look like Sarah Connor in Terminator 2...

Yeah, I figured that out later. Always something....thanks!!!
