I am from Wyoming and I can tell you some things. One, there are obese people there because they spend an inordinate amount of time indoors. Two a LOT of them smoke. Three, when you are outdoors you have to walk a lot or ride a vehicle that requires exertion to use. Four the cold requires more calories to heat your body…

I started at 387 and I HATE being called big guy. Diet is 70 percent of the battle, but the quickest way too create the calorie deficit is to set a realistic goal with calorie intake then burn some calories with excercise. Remember calories are energy, and energy=1/2 MVsquared. So if you are heavy, by definition you will…

Thanks I think pasta sauce and salad dressing were a part, but I eat out in restaurants a lot and that is the main source. Its really hard to eat less salt in a place that sells flavor not nutrition

There are many factors involved in weight loss. If you kept to your calorie level, then perhaps youi did not drink enough water to rid yourself of the byproducts of bichemical pyrollsis. When this happens, I recommend tracking your water intake more closely and use 1 ounce of water per ever 2 pounds of body weight. For a…

I think that having a work out friend or just someone to relate to and speak with is motivational. Its easier to succeed when you walk together.

remember that food intake is only 70 percent of the equation. Try to eat 12 times your desired body weight and add 30 minutes of cardio excercise 5 days a week and 3 days of resistance training at 45 percent of your max for 2 sets of 12 3 times a week. THAT will restart your metabolism. It took me 6 weeks, but I had done…

First of all never be intimidated. Thats silly. Lift based on a percentage of your maximum. Then compare to your body weight. If you weigh 100 and can comfortably lift 50 then "heavy" would be 80 pounds. And measure your max by what weight you can lift 3 times.
