I've been doing ChaLEAN Extreme for about 5 weeks now. I've lost a few inches and a few pounds. Not a ton begin with but my eating could've been better, and that's my fault. I really love her program! I found a webpage that estimates how many calories CLX burns.…

I also wear glasses, but have contacts as well and insist on wearing them if I run. But I know everyone can't wear contacts and I know how frustrating foggy, water-splattered glasses are! How about a sun visor? Unless the rain is coming straight at your face, it would keep the rain from falling down and onto your glasses.…

I found that I didn't get anywhere until I truly understood "take it one day at a time". I heard it so many times but always let it go in one ear and out the other. I would dwell on the past too much. Heck, even the present sometimes! Now I have reminders everywhere that say, "Every day is a NEW beginning!" Throw all your…

I would go get a waist trimmer ($10-$20, Wal Mart has some good ones) and do some cardio exercises wearing it. It will zap all the water weight out of that area. Cut down your sodium from now until then. Drink coffee (natural diuretic) the 2 days prior AND add supportive underwear if you need to! You'll look fabulous.

Wow, all of you gave some really helpful answers. Thank you so much. Rubybelle and NyxDominique you're a comfort to me! I have also been cutting back on my portions of sweets and such. Sugar is a dangerous thing to try to control, but it is working for now. Good suggestions. And a really great article, taem. I am feeling…

Robogreifer I've actually never turned the question! Just might have to one of these times. Ha! Next time they try to get aggressive with me...lol. change_happens, I don't eat meat mainly because of how the animals are treated and killed, and I feel better physically without it!
-
Sigh...I can't even count how many (friendly) arguments I've gotten in with meat-eaters over dietary choices. Ha! While I haven't gotten in a debate over this for a long time, I do get constantly asked "Why don't you eat meat?" I enjoyed this information.

I am not from or in London but this makes me so sad. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this.

I've heard that any sickness from the chest up is fine to work out with, but chest down is a no-go. I find a lot of the time that I feel better after working out when I've been a little sick. But if you haven't had a day off in awhile, and it's a BAD cold, you should definitely sit this one out. Feel better!

Oh, ha! Never heard that one, but thank you! Yes, we can do it! We must! It looks like you're wearing a cute Halloween costume. I'm determined to be able to wear something sexy like that this Halloween! There's still time for me!!!

163 has been the weight I've maintained most of my adult life. I briefly lost 30 lbs the right way but it came back on. People (some) don't believe me anymore when I say I'm going to lose the weight! I hate my stomach the worst. All my fat hangs on there for dear life! I'm here to make positive changes into habits. I'm…

I don't think you look awful! As long as you ironed/steamed the clothes, put some heels on and did your hair nicely you would be good to go! Try not to be too critical of yourself. Some heels will show your calves off and pretty hair and makeup will dress everything up. You can definitely do pretty at this weight, don't…

I think this is a beautiful idea! I'm not sure how to participate in challenges but I'd like to do it! I'm sure I'll catch on. :) By the way, I did try the URL at the bottom of the googledoc and am unable to copy/paste it. I'll just wait until Monday and try again.

Woah! That is a big difference, especially in that amount of time. It shows that you've been working hard!
-
That's a good one!

I actually haven't heard some of these! Nice to add to my things on recall for down days!

The entire "Real Housewives" franchise! And Jerseylicious. Might have to look into Inbetweeners now...always looking for a good, new show to follow.

I know this will sound silly, but...I would love to have a body like Kim Kardashian. Or Monica Belucci. They both have beautiful curves, and are very soft-looking. No harsh angular shapes. And Kim has cellulite like most other women. Sometimes I even see a little roundness to her belly. Except for her suspiciously big…

I feel the same as you do right now! I have 30 lbs to lose and have a hard time controlling my eating. I've been on MFP about 6 weeks and have lost about 5 lbs. I had a few days of bad eating and exercise and am feeling scared that I won't be able to pick back up again and get anywhere! And feeling down on myself is very…

I have just the thing! Go to zumbacalories.com to calculate how many calories you're burning!

For cellulite the best thing is probably just weight loss. But even the skinniest people have cellulite! So try not to obsess over it. As far as stretch marks go...I've tried a lot of different things, as it looked like I was mauled by a bear after I had my son. Time and genetics are probably the best medicine for stretch…

Thank you!! That gives me a good estimate!

Luckily it's not MUCH of an investment money wise, because it's only about $9 at Wal Mart. And time wise, it's worthwhile. Each workout is only about 25 minutes long. So one 25 minute workout a day? Not bad! And you do the first level for the first ten days, which is a pretty good preparation for your body to move onto…

Unnecessary?! That was great! I thoroughly enjoyed reading your story and seeing your pictures. It's comforting that a lot of us here share a lot of the same feelings, high or low. Congratulations! You look great!!!

Yes, in the cardio section. I was wondering the same thing and found the website zumbacalories.com. There's a calculator there that gives you a pretty good estimate. I believe I added it into the database.

I thought about doing this same thing, because I gained two lbs this past week and felt sad about it even though I felt thinner. It's helpful to see the difference in you. It's definitely apparent! Thanks for posting this.

Thank you all so much. You have no idea how much relief you're giving me! My life will be so much more satisfying this way! And hearing of your successes...it really helps me. Thank you all.

Ha! I was just wondering if I was one of few that were still on MFP this late. I don't know how widespread it is! Anyway, it's 2:11am here and I'm still up. Wanting to snack but talking myself out of it. Glad to see you all are up with me!
-
I think you look great!! Try making the bun sleeker and tighter to class it up even more.
-
Wow, you look great! I started MFP a few weeks ago at 163 and topped out at 171 earlier this year, so you're an inspiration to me. I'm also 5'5"! I'll be right behind you!
