Well said, thank you! Good luck with the basement- ugh!

Wow. I've just recently learned the concept of TDEE-20% from "in place of a road map" on here. And I loved receiving that information! The difference for me here was how beautifully and simply you wrote it! Nice and concise! Perfect for the type of learning brain I have. And it helped to quell some of the insecurities I've…

Whenever I'm feeling like that I've gotten low on my Vitamin D. I would highly recommend taking a supplement of that, although it takes a long time to leave your system, and a long time to build it back up. But very worth it. Best of luck.

1 week, 2 days!

Aside from the weight, it sounds like we had/have similar situations! Snacking on veggies...I'll keep that in mind. Thanks!

I do LOVE to lift! Thank you for the advice!

I'll agree that Zumba is great! I will keep all of this in mind. Thank you!

Calorie cycling sounds interesting. Thank you!

That's good to hear, how did you lose your 26?

If I cut 500 cals from the 1956? Or from the 2457?

Thanks everyone, it's interesting to hear that I'm not the only one! And I do hope that it will even out as I go. I don't have scoliosis, that would be a good explanation! Thanks again for your input. :)

Thank you. Yes hopefully it will disappear eventually!

This is the boat I've been in for about 8 years now. My fiance has a ridiculously wonderful body and it seems so effortless to him. Welcome to the club, lol!

This WAS interesting! Thanks for posting.

Hey, add me to the list of ladies that this has also happened to. The first time was when I was 16, the second time was earlier this year (age 26). It was especially disheartening because I thought to myself, "Sheesh, after another 10 years you STILL don't have it together?!" But really it truly is not your fault, it is…

A few years ago, I lost about 30 pounds and got back to my skinniest (Junior High) weight by counting my calories. I also did lots of Tae Bo! I made exercise a habit. It definitely helped me to make better choices. I got pretty good at estimating how many calories were in what- although I always double-checked to be sure.…

Hello, I am interested in this challenge. I need to get in shape for my August wedding! :)

This morning I woke up and decided I was going to have one of my favorite foods, which is also a big trigger food for me: cereal. Malt O Meal's Golden Puffs to be exact, ha! But I thought of how good I've done this past week and did my best to ignore the urges to slip back into my old, familiar, sweet habits. Welcome to…

Thank you, but why be careful about milk? Because of the carbs in it?
-
Thank you very much! Great information, that helped me to understand the science behind it better. Just what I was looking for!

My bust area, and then around my face. Very, very last is my stomach. So sad!

Thank you!!

Low-carb diets have worked the best for me. The best website I've found is www.genaw.com.

Megan Good, Rachel McAdams and Ciara!!! Also Kim Kardashian, sorry, but I had to say it.

Wow, you ARE a new person!!! How amazing! You should be very proud of yourself!

I started eating around 25 NET carbs a day on January 5th of this year. I've lost 30 lbs as a result and I find it very do-able. AND I'm vegetarian, so I don't use meat as a food option. It's an adjustment at first but gets much easier as you go along. Other people might disagree but it's what's been most effective for me,…

My diet is pretty low-carb (under 30 net carbs a day), vegetarian and fairly high-protein. Here is my go-to low carb snack list: Olives Peanut Butter Pickles Cheese Almonds Pistachios Hard-Boiled Eggs w/salt Strawberries w/Splenda whipped cream and fake meats (all high in protein) like Morningstar's breakfast sausage…

That happened to me, especially when I started low-carbing on January 5th. To my knowledge I haven't suffered any ill effects. I definitely try to keep my calories higher, and if you can manage that you should. But in my opinion it's not an emergency if you stay under while your body is adjusting to this new diet. Only…

It definitely doesn't sound good. Try to evaluate if your relationship is worth wondering if he's cheating all the time. Like you mentioned, this isn't a first. Best of luck.

My favorite go-to is pasta. Most restaurants will have some type of pasta that you can ask them to take meat out of, and there should be light sauce options like a pesto or something. It's not the best diet-friendly option, but if appetizers, salads and most main dishes are out it's one of your best bets. You could ask for…
