  • I had lost almost 100 pounds two years ago. It is all back. It has been a rough two years, but I am back logging and back in the pool. It is time to just plain feel better, and this was how I accomplished that last time.

  • I am putzing along, but am working on taking it more seriously again.
  • I am so proud of you for sticking with this! For me, i could make a ton of excuses about life being busy and working nights on the weekend, and they are all true, but that won't get me where I want to go. The big picture is I wasn't as active as I would like because life interrupted me, but I got out there and made an…
  • I waited until about month 9 to have my meltdown. It certainly isn't easy, but you can do this. You have it in you :)
  • are you ready for week 44, Umer? I am ready to go!
  • I will be back on board this weekend! When the going gets tough, the tough get going!
  • I am here, but not on the boards as much, mostly just using my phone. I am down 67 pounds from 11/5/12. Life has been busy lately, so I have been more maintaining than losing. The good news is, I have been maintaining and not gaining. I have a new FitBit, which has been a little motivating :)
  • Congratulations! That is fantastic!!
  • I do whatever works for me to get to my calorie goals. In an ideal world, I burn 7-10k calories/week, although the last two were about half of that. I swim a lot, but I also use the elliptical, hike, go to water aerobics, etc. I had been running, but was just diagnosed with arthritis in my knees so I am taking a break from…
  • That is great for both of you!
  • The Boy Scouts helped with our local YMCA's Rad Run yesterday. I was busy for hours, did lots of walking, hauling, lifting, but I have no idea how many calories I burned for that. 6/8/13: 102 calories mild stretching 6/9/13: 50 calories mild stretching/1240 calories swimming Total: 1392
  • MRI results are in. It is "only" arthritis. Right now, the challenge is pain management so it doesn't interfere with my goals. Saturday: 1098 cross country hiking Sunday: 275 dancing (I am in our local musical and we were working with the professional choreographer today. She worked us good) 402 walking Total: 1775
  • I am not sure how to get it posted in the body of the post, but my profile pictures has been updated.

  • That is wonderful news! Congratulations!!
  • My husband used to have more problems but began to watch his sodium intake. Once he kept that in line, things improved.

  • whoooohooooo orangesmartie! Saturday: 872 (hiking without a backpack) 1966 (I marked it as gardening, so it was probably conservative. I was hauling tree limbs and other debris across a sandy swimming beach for 4+ hours. We cleaned a Boy Scout camp on the Missouri River. I couldn't believe the size of some of the trees…

  • Saturday 1134 (Yoga 155/Mild Stretching 51/Water Aerobics 498/Elliptical 430) Sunday 1576 (Elliptical 931/Mild Stretching 104/Water Aerobics 541) 2710 total...I fell short of my 7000 calorie goal for this week by about 150. So close, but I just couldn't make the last push.
  • wonderful! and fun! :)
  • Good luck with your race! I need to start over outside before I am willing to sign up for an outside race :)
  • We pay 65.00 for a family membership at our Y. We have unlimited classes and access to a pool/hot tub in addition to the weights/machines in the fitness center for our family of four. For me, it is money well spent since my cost per day is about 2.00.
  • I weigh daily Monday through Friday. I wear the same clothes so I have a consistent weight. I like to be accountable to myself and a daily weigh in helps me do that. It also helps me be aware of the little things I do that can have a daily impact on my weight....too much sodium, not enough water, etc.
  • W7D2 yesterday :) I have been all on treadmill so when I graduate, I am going to start over at the beginning, but outside...if it ever stops snowing here :)
  • I am in the middle of a plateau right now. I am putting in the time in the gym and watching my food, but the scale is just not budging. I am hoping to see it coming through soon because it is starting to be a mind game for me.
  • Good for you! Sticking with it until it is a habit is sometimes the hardest part :) Congratulations!
  • New baby?? I think I missed something! Congratulations!! 845 Saturday (425 Elliptical/420 water aerobics) 1444 Sunday (888 Elliptical/52 stretching/504 water aerobics) 2289 total
