I am eating a chocolate biscotti as we speak! I'm down 43 pounds in 16 weeks

You're gorgeous! Congratulations!

I would say no, don't force yourself to eat all those calories -- unless you're actually hungry. If you're actually hungry, go ahead and eat. I ran a marathon a few years ago, and on long runs, I probably burned a couple thousand calories. Or figure, in a week where I ran 35-40 miles, I wasn't eating 4000 extra calories. I…

I'm confused about this myself. I work, and am on my feet walking a decent amount throughout the day. I have three kids, six and under, so as you know, there's not a whole lot of rest going on! hee hee. I set my activity level to sedentary, and then I just enter in my actual exercise, like spinning, strength training,…

Do you have Aldi where you are? They have great prices and they've started to carry some of my staples, like light string cheese, light mini babybel cheese, unsweetened almond milk, plain unsweetened greek yogurt, high fiber cereals, etc.

I only count plain water.

I am also a "salad shaker"! I don't like a ton of dressing, so I'll make a huge salad with chicken breast, lettuce, spinach, carrots, tomatoes, cucumber, broccoli, bell peppers, etc etc., add 1 T of dressing, maybe some fresh ground lemon pepper, and shake it all up. Yum!!

I'm in my 15th week of Weight Watchers and I really like it. I've lost 42 pounds using a combo of WW, MFP, and, of course, exercise. I go to a meeting every week and track online. The meetings are a great community of people. The leader is awesome. There are some really inspiring folks there. I think the science behind it…

My trainer told me the bar is about 45 lbs. That's what it feels like to me. She says the general standard is, the last two reps of the set should feel like "oh my gosh, I can barely lift this thing!" If they don't feel tough, add weight

I am 5'5". Back in the day when I was really fit, at 145 lbs I wore a size 6. Between 135-140 I wore a size 4 and even some size 2s. I couldn't ever get below 135. So, my weight wasn't super low, but I was pretty small. Right now, at about 180, I wear a 12.

I love doing cardio. It's great for my stress level and for my emotional health. It's great for my heart! I do strength training, too. I don't neglect strength. But I love cardio! So I'm sticking with my cardio.

OH. MY. GOSH. You are gorgeous! You were always gorgeous, but you know what I mean! Thank you for sharing your pictures and your encouraging, positive message!
-
Way to go! You look fantastic! Bet you feel so great, too!

I ran my first marathon in 2006 and what I tell people - and this is the honest truth - is that it was one of the most fun things I've ever done! It was a blast! I met the greatest people (training buddies), was in great shape, and learned a lot about myself and what I'm capable of. What's not to like??

I like WW. I started 14 weeks ago and have lost 40 lbs. I'm also using MFP. At WW, your weight is private. The only people who will know your weight are you and the WW staff who do your weigh in. They never say your weight out loud. You don't have to say anything at all during the meetings. They're very good about not…

Very interesting. Regular crunches, where you lie on your back, KILL my lower back. But I can do other core stuff and do really well at it. I've read similar things that say that the amount of pressure on the lower back when doing crunches on the floor is way too high. All I know is they hurt my back, a lot!

Love those pretzels! Sometimes I mix one serving of the pretzels with a tbs of chocolate chips - yummy!

When I'm hungry, I eat! I figure my body is telling me it wants some nutrition! I've lost 40 lbs in the past 14 weeks, so something is working. I'm active and I eat pretty well. Everything in moderation works for me. But, bottom line, if I'm truly hungry - not bored, or thirsty, or stressed, or angry, or sad - but actually…

One cup is 8 ounces. I find that working out in the morning (that's what works best with my schedule) really helps me drink tons of water. For example, when I do a 6am spin class, by 7am in the morning I've already had about 4o ounces of water!

I was visiting with a friend of mine just the other day and she was telling me that she's trying to lose about 7 more pounds. She said she was doing mostly cardio and wasn't getting results. She said she switched to much less cardio and much more strength training and the pounds started coming off. I'm not an expert at…

I'm working with a trainer, and she advised me to do strength training three times a week and cardio 5-6 times a week,

I usually take stuff like that and break it down into each of its components. So, I'd look up greek dressing, a regular, full calorie version. I'd add maybe 2 TBS of that. Then I'd look up feta cheese, add the amount that you think was on there, figure the chicken was probably brushed with oil before it was grilled, so add…

Don't beat yourself up any more! We ALL slip to some degree. Think of it this way: you learned something really important. You learned that you you don't like how you feel afterwards. So, next time, chances are you'll decide not to eat like that. That's a valuable lesson. Honestly, you probably won't even gain any weight.…
