Yes! Agree, 100%! I'm going to eat what I like, enjoy myself, have fun with my family, keep up my activity, and move on!

Wow, I feel like a porker! I eat at least 1500 cal a day and often much more. It's not uncommon for me to eat 1800 or even 2000 calories a day. I'm female, 37 yrs old, 5' 5", and I've lost 56 lbs in the last 25 weeks.

I started MFP and WW at the beginning of June, 25 weeks ago, and have lost 56 lbs, or an average of about 2 lbs a week. I usually eat about 1700-1800 calories a day, and there are a couple days a week where I eat more, about 2300 calories if not more. I'm female, 5'5'. I eat a lot! And the weight is coming off

I have been doing WW and MFP for 22 weeks and am down 55 lbs. I do a combo of cardio and strength training and I think strength training is absolutely crucial. That said, I have noticed that I have bigger weight losses when I amp up the cardio. I would never cut out strength training, but I love cardio for the killer…

Some of my favorite snacks: Mini Babybel Light cheese - 50 cal. Add an apple and it's a great, filling snack! Frozen berries with 1/2 cup plain unsweetened kefir or a serving of plain low fat greek yogurt. Yum! Wasa thin n' crispy crackers with a bit of cheese or unsweetened nut butter baby carrots - two servings (6 oz…

You are a gorgeous rock star!!!

Congratulations! You look fantastic! And I know you feel great! What a role model you are for your kids. Way to go!

I have three young kids and I'm a terrible meal planner. I know how much easier it makes things, and I'm working on it. My husband is the cook in our family. I'm good at lots of things, but cooking is not one of them! In the meantime, I tend to buy what works for us at this point - which pretty much means buying the same…

Awesome! Thank you!

About ten weeks. I started with about 85/90 lbs to lose. I've been at it 18 weeks and have lost about 50 lbs.
-
Wow! You're so pretty and you look great!!

20 miles today. It was nice and warm...inside the spin room at my gym! ;-)

You may not be a straight line loser. In other words, you might be a person (like me) who loses in fits and starts. I went two weeks in a row losing .2 lbs. Basically, nothing. The next week? I was down six pounds. Over the last 4 months, I have a pattern of losing very little or none, then having a bigger drop, like 3, 4,…

Thanks! Fun! I'll go for 150...a century and a half...I said 100 at first, but why not give myself a bit more of a challenge?
-
Does spinning count for this challenge, or just outside cycling? If spinning counts, I'm in for 100 miles. Thanks!

Eating a cup of ice cream isn't having a bad day! I know you feel bad, but...it's o-kay! Did you eat a gallon of ice cream? No! Eat some yummy ice cream and enjoy it! 280 calories is FINE. Not a problem. You don't need to work it off tomorrow. Fit it into today's calorie allotment, or go over a little, and move on. I'm not…

I would love to join. Thank you! I'm weighing in at WW tomorrow morning anyway, so the timing is perfect. Thanks!

I feel soooo much better on the days I get up and work out. When I'm laying there at 5:30 am, I remind myself that there has never, not once yet, been a time that I haven't felt great after my morning workout. It sets the tone for my whole day. Oh, and COFFEE!! Lol. Gots to have my coffee.

I don't think you're obsessed. Now, if you're neglecting things in your life -- like not feeding or bathing your kids, missing meetings at work, failing to meet commitments, etc. -- then yeah, you might be a bit obsessed! But that doesn't seem to be the case. You and I sound a lot alike. My husband and I both work and we…

I don't know. I started WW 17 weeks ago today and have lost an average of 2.9 pounds a week. I can tell you that I've done it without being hungry and without deprivation. I track what I eat and I exercise. I did start out with a lot to lose - about 85-90 lbs, so maybe that's why. I'll see what happens now that I've got…

You'll be fine at 1500-1600 cal/day , in my opinion. I'm not an expert by any means, but I have been successfully losing weight (about 48 lbs in 17 weeks) and I eat more than 1200 cal pretty much every day. I work, have three kids, and work out 5-6 days a week. I've been averaging almost three lbs a week (loss) and if I…

I don't miss anything b/c I haven't cut anything out! I've lost about 48 lbs in 17 weeks and I'm continuing to eat everything I ate before -- just less of it!

Holy cow, this is great! Thank you for posting and thank you, Steve. Excellent material, well worth the read -- and very nicely written!
