Vegetarian for 13 years, don't use leather, etc. and eat mostly vegan. Feel free to add me, if you like :)

This. Exactly. I've also stopped eating to prevent overeating before, too.

Whatever weight makes YOU happy, healthy or not (preferably healthy, but it's YOUR body). That says it all.

35, living in KS, 5'3", highest weight was 200lbs, goal weight is 120, current weight is a little under 130. I reached 120 but keep going up and down between 120 and 130. Always looking for MFP friends :)

I just started physical therapy (as in yesterday) for knee issues, and the first thing she said to me was "shoes and stretching". I may have patellar tracking disorder (maybe - one doc says I do, another says I probably don't) but the sports doc says a big part of it is the IT Band. My symptoms are knee popping (a LOT, but…

I realized I was a "real runner" when I ran 9 miles and *forgot* I couldn't breathe :)

I'm an RN in long term care as well. I don't log my work activities, just consider them extra.

Two to three days a week I'm up with you at 5:45 a.m. (Central Time), outside in the cold, running. You're not alone! Rock on! :)

C25K, definitely! I was NEVER able to run, skipped gym classes in school, felt stupid when I tried to run, couldn't breathe, and probably looked stupid too. But I always had an interest in it. I decided one day that I would try the C25K and that I would finish it and if afterwards I hated running, I'd never do it again. If…

I started from never running and did the C25K, only I used this: http://runningintoshape.com/. There were days I thought I was going to die, repeated Week 4 once (for 6 days total), and cursed "Carli" (the woman who made the podcast) regularly, but I finished it. I run all the time now, and love it!

Some days I eat the exercise calories, some days I don't, some days I eat half.. I say if you're hungry, eat! Just make good choices like fruits or veggies. My two cents.. Good luck to you! :)

I'm with Runs4Wine and the C25K suggestion. I hadn't run a mile in my life (probably literally, I used to even skip gym class) and now I run 6-9 miles regularly.

I was about to chalk December up to a loss at meeting my 50 pledged miles because it's so COLD here. But then I looked at my MapMyRun totals and realized that, hot damn! I may still be able to make it! I haven't posted here in a bit, so I'm including the entire list: 12/04: 1.63mi 12/04: 3.13mi 12/06: 6.38mi 12/09: 4.20mi…
