  • Just to add my two pence, I didn't start loosing weight until I started eating 1800! Twice what I ate before! Eat to loose :D
  • depends on useage, if you do high interval training on either you'll get roughly the same effects but again you'll get the same effect if you bimbling along on either. Figure out which one you enjoy the most and work harder on it.
  • The geek that broke Chantelle's nose, she deserved it :D
  • when I was a teenager I didn't eat that much at all, I think when I first started on here my friend suggesting noting down what I did eat. It came to about 900 calories a day, my relationship with food was terrible. Soon as I started eating much more, I'm eating 2090 at the moment, the weight started to come off. I've lost…
  • Make and freeze things in bulk? Also where you can buy from a farmers market, its generally fresher and I find on average it's cheaper for seasonal fruit and veg.
  • speaking as a bisexual woman, and knowing male and female friends preferences on the physical appearance of women, we all like different things! For example my man's an *kitten* man, and since I started lifting and doing resistance training has commented on how good it now looks x3 A good friend of mine is a self confessed…
  • I go to the gym by myself but I've made friends there, which is a lovely addage to getting healthy :D
  • You called? Here from Nottingham but originally from Hampshire
  • Yes, I have three very good friends that make me want to do this, Hagaan Daz and Ben & Jerry.
  • when ever I get tonsillitis I tend to loose a few pounds!
  • Get back to it- but at a healthier calories allowance. From what I've seen on FL people who've restricted themselves down to 1200 are the ones that end up bingeing and going off the rails. Set yourself on the 1lb a week option you'll find you can treat yourself every so often even without doing any exercise and thus keep…
  • Mine have increased in the cup, from a 36F to a 36G, I don't find it all that hard to find bras- wonder bras are amazing as they give you an awesome amount of support but I'm lucky enough to have an independant shop near me that orders in the sizes I need rather then a store like La Senza who I used to love now only goes…
  • 1) Pee before cardio work 2) Tidy up after yourself 3) Enjoy it- it's me time :D
  • Are we talking, in your original 50 minutes, just jumping on and pedaling or are you aiming for a specific RPM or speed? Have you tried intervals? At first a minute slow and a minute fast aiming for a specific measurement, you may find interval work will be just as good and leave time for other pieces leaving you less…
  • if you're going to try and stick to two lbs a week you'll be on 1200 calories which more often then not put people off, also you need to remember weight loss is not linear- for example when you're around your period you can put on between 2-5lbs of retained water even if you've been eating well and exercising. When I first…
  • I'm hoping the one on the right xD
  • from what I understand it tightens things up- but with most resistance/weight training (depending on how you squat) it differs. I use a Swiss Ball and a free bit of wall and a mirror to check my posture and it's tightened my thighs up and my bum's reduced slightly.
  • This is the kind of family I was raised in, my father served time (and so did my mother before she left to have my older brother) and because of it cleaning and cooking duties are practically regimented. Every Friday we work out whose getting home when (ie I'm generally off Monday and Tuesdays thus leaving me free to cook)…
  • All animals have personalities, generally you only really get to know them if you spend time with them. Alot of people think its disgusting that I know and have seen the majority of the animals I eat before they're butchered- I'm lucky enough to live near a farmer/butcher family who, as you can guess, farm the animals in…
  • Not wiping equipment down. Spitting. People who are there just to pose not to work out. Dismantling the weight machines- the lat pull down has been left in pieces like three days in a row now o-o About it now :3
  • I have issues with them misselling their product, along with all the supermarkets, but honestly I see no harm in eating horse meat as long as it's safe. I remember getting abuse for eating venison and rabbit- but its leaner and is more likely eaten and lived better then beef cows- so what if its cuter?
  • bagels between sets, marvelous idea- do they have chocolate philly to go on top??//
  • Hi! I'm near Nottingham, feel free to add me anyone else :D
  • All of the gyms in my area do an introduction to the equipment and make up a programme as well- this is mainly so you know what you can do in the gym (so you're not going to hurt yourself!) but also for insurance purposes. If they don't give you a full safety briefing for the equipment then have you sign a document…
  • is he a lap brick or a bit more independent?
  • I use a mix, but mainly weight machines- as I have terrible balance, I literally fall over nothing. I know a couple of male friends who have aaaalls been into working out etc. that say they 'don't feel' it with machines were as they do with weights. Really, it's just what you feel most comfortable with.
  • I was reading an old Glamour article saying that things that market themselves as 'low fat' are generally compensating for the lack of fat with higher sugar/salt levels and they generally leave you filling unsatisfied- so you have more! It's all about balancing and reading, in my opinion.
  • It's great! Honestly, when you get going and feel confident in there it'll be the highlight of your week!
  • hey :3 First off, eat what your husband makes but weigh it out, I'm due to face the same thing when I move in with my partner later this year. Second, stop comparing yourself to celebrities- what is the point? Do they have to juggle a full time job, family life and getting fit? Hellz no! Please be realistic in this. Also,…
  • The golden vegetable soup store easily (ie make double for two days worth of lunch or to freeze) there was one recipe but I can't remember the name of it- it was badly written IMHO. All in all, the book is great- nice varied selection of foods. Other BBC books worth a look are the Good Food series- they have a full work up…
