I have the Nexplanon and it does increase your appetite at times but it doesn't actually cause weight gain although I have experienced constipation as well. The best thing to do is to exercise and find alternatives to unhealthy snacks.

I have a big issue with motivation and printed off charts where I can write in my measurements and weight which has helped so far (on day 5). I think I will make a good motivation buddy :)

Hey everyone, thanks for the great response. I only just checked this thread so I have just added you all now and I too have gone cold turkey with the junk food - I find the only hard part of it is finding other things to eat and not so much missing the taste of it.

I've not tried any proper work-outs at the moment. I have a few DVDs but the TV has been written off so it's the matter of finding a new TV so I can start working out properly. I do want to try insanity but I heard that it does cost a lot of money? I might try the resistance bands, thanks for the suggestions :)
