All sugar is 4 calories per gram.

That's a binge? That sounds like my post-workout meal.

So you don't log your tea as water because it has a green tea flavor? Wow......
-
It still has water in it. Therefore your body is still getting water from it.
-
This pretty much sums it up every time I read one of these threads.

3500 a day to maintain, 3000 if I want to lose weight.

So adding caffeine to water makes the water disappear? Interesting.
-
So you're telling me that drinking 16oz of coffee is going to make you pee out more than 16oz of water that your body has stored? That's just not true. Caffeine stimulates vassopressin, the anti-diuretic hormone. You're still going to get water intake from drinking coffee, you'll just pee a little more.

Nice fear mongering. Eating sugar isn't going to give you diabetic necrosis. If that was the case, everyone who ate ice cream and pop tarts would have it. There are plenty of us out there who eat a balanced diet that includes.....<GASP>....sugar. If you exercise hard, you can use sugar as a pick-me-up to keep you going.…

Fasting is great! When you're fasting, it causes demand for groceries to go down and that makes them cheaper for people like me who enjoy eating. I've noticed the price of eggs is up so maybe you guys can coordinate a nation-wide water fasting and I'll stock up if the price drops. Thanks!

When I'm craving sugar, I usually go for some ice cream. Tillamook makes amazing ice cream, so does Ben and Jerry's. I'll be dead in 50 or so years so I don't really see the reasoning in making myself miserable to avoid foods that I enjoy eating.

Sweet potatoes aren't going to make you lose or gain weight any faster than other types of potatoes. They're full of nutrients but so are a million other foods. Eat them if you enjoy them but calling them a super food is pretty ridiculous. On that note, they make excellent fries when you chop them up and bake/fry them.

Wait a sec here, I haven't been paying attention in this thread but are you saying that Shakeology works because it has the backing of cardiologists and dietitians? If so, let me be the first to say: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argument_from_authority Who cares what someone says (me included).....how about the DATA that…

I hate my internet and double posts!

I can't believe how many people are going crazy over that comment. Calorie restriction works regardless of diet. No magical diet is going to make you lose weight while eating a calorie surplus. It's not that hard to figure out people.

In case you weren't aware, carbs hold water so cutting carbs cuts how much water you hold as well. That's why "weight loss" is a silly goal compared to actual body fat percentages.
-
Bystander effect: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bystander_effect The more people present, the less likely someone will help. It's ridiculous and it makes me dislike human beings.

This is something I can get behind. I have no idea why the paramedics wouldn't be happy that you helped. Assuming you didn't roll the person over incorrectly and injure their neck (in case of a head injury), it seems like you did a great job. I took the EMT course a few years back. About 3 days after finishing I saw a car…

You're probably not in a 500 calorie deficit. You're probably more around 250 or so if you're losing the amount of weight you're saying you're losing. In terms of general health it's probably better this way as your metabolism and muscle won't take a hit from fast weight loss. Is there a rush? With modern medicine, you…

ECA? Clen? That's my guess for the fat burner. Anyway, you could try Hoodia for appetite. I tried a bottle one to see if it did anything and I didn't notice a difference but a lot of people swear by it. Also, a discontinued product that is still available in some stores online is called EST Suppressor. It had good ratings,…

Hormonal response. When you eat a big breakfast, your insulin is spiked and then levels out so you feel hungry again. If you eat very little, or don't eat at all, glucagon kicks in and levels out your blood sugar without the spike from insulin. This can control hunger and it's why a lot of people who do times of fasting…

I support him for the reason that it will hopefully stop the "it's impossible for me to lose weight" argument that I must hear 20 times a day.

In the defense of thermodynamics, I don't think it was the calorie intake that was causing you to gain weight. As you said, you tested high for blood glucose and you found out you had celiacs. That alone is enough of an issue to make dietary changes have big results compared to the standard person who doesn't have either…

Gloves all fit differently and it's hard to shop online for a pair that works well. My advice would be to go to an outdoor sports shop that has mountain biking gear and look at mountain biking gloves. A lot of them are fingerless and work just as well as weight lifting gloves. I've been using mountain biking gloves for…

That's the point though, the calorie estimate for whatever you burn is going to be waaaaay off for the most part.

Well, this is good news, I had no idea. On that note, will they be showing it online? No cable tv here. =/ The Walking Dead was the only series where I've actually watched an entire season since Band of Brothers came out.

Why would you give up a protein drink when eating clean?

Why not get one that tastes better?
