It takes time to get used to it. The smaller plate will help! I always try to have a bowl as a side of more veggies or salad as well. He the veggies first then eat the entrée. It does help! And honestly stick with it, it will become habit and your stomach will get into habit as well!

I don't know if obesity is a disease but I definitely feel that over eating or eating to much, how ever you want to word it is an addiction. You can't control yourself just like a person with a drinking problem can't control them selves. Disease to me is something that can be caught from some one and cured, being bigger…

Well you can go online and use the guidelines, but heres my thing. I'm 5'4, and according to doctors I should weigh between 125-145ish. That will never happen and I've never been that small. The smallest I've ever been was right before my thyroid surgery and I weighed 172 lbs. My family was telling me I weighed to little.…

Mine is set for a bit above 1500 but I keep it an even 1500. Its getting easier as the days go by. Becoming more habit than having to remember to eat below that. Feel free to add me!

Well I friend requested you! Its great to know and hear someone else say that they've done this a thousand times and fall off but get back on! I've also done that, and it'll be nice to have someone who will admit it to talk to!

It usually being dinner. I'd love to eat my other meals in larger amounts but for some reason I'm the most hungry at dinner time. I'm getting better at making sure my dinner meal is not so high its ridiculous but I'm working on it. I figure if I stay below my calories for the day and don't eat after 8, I'm doing good lol.

I'm always going over my sugar. I eat a lot of fruit, and I'll be honest, I use creamer every morning. Not great for you but thats what I do.

During that time of the month, I have an extremely hard time. Due to other medical issues, my "monthly" tends to be anywhere from little cranky to I'm pretty sure I'm dying. I can't normally handle my normal intense workout, but I go nice and slow on my elliptical or I walk. Any movement is better than no movement and plus…

I've always been bigger than I should. I finally started to get healthy, down to a great weight then I became pregnant, which then followed with several health problems that now follow me around and makes it difficult to lose weight. But its those small steps that count. And regardless I'm teaching my son to eat healthy,…

Do you have any history of issues with your thyroid? Metabolism? etc. If none of the above, could be your not eating the right foods, or your eating them at the wrong times. I went about 3 months without losing more than a lb, and I'd gain that pound back just as quickly. Your body could just be getting adjusted to a new…

Just getting up every hour or so is good! I work at a desk all day too so I know. I get up every hour or so, walk and get water, walk around the office checking and see whats going on. I walk messages to co-workers if its not an emergency instead of calling. Little things like that add up at the end of the day. Plus, I use…

I'm 5'4, according to every where I look, I should weigh no more than like 150lbs. I've never weighed that much even when I was at my skinniest. In high-school, I weighed about 170. My highest was 225. This time around, I started at 195 I think. I would like to get down to 175 and see how I feel, how I look, etc. Losing…

Hi Newbie, I've been on here awhile but scared to talk to anyone. I've had a thyroid problem since 2009, I was diagnosed with Graves Disease. In 2011, I had thyroid removed and have had on going issues since off and on anyways. Once your meds are right, some things get better some stay the same. It depends on the person,…
