This is different than what I saw last night. I enter the run into my jawbone app, so I tell it what type of activity it was, what time I started and finished, and how hard I was working. Usually it will factor the total calories - for regular steps and for workouts - into the "Up Calorie Adjustment," so I've been adding…

Flexible is the only thing that's sustainable for the long haul, at least for me. I have a couple of foods that I absolutely don't keep in the house and I know if I eat them its a sign of a bigger problem, but I've lost 35 pounds eating "everything in moderation." However, I do make cleaner, greener, and leaner choices…

I love this. I was going to say how looking at my progress on a graph really helps to see the big-picture downward trend. Yay maths. hahahahahahahaha. I love it.

Ummm... that's the best. I'm going to to make this!

I haven't been that weight in my adult life, but if my current pattern continues, I'd be a size 2/4 (US). I'm 5'8". I weighed in at 178.4 this morning and I'm wearing size 10 (US) pants.

I'm pretty pro-science, but I'm absolutely 100% anti- selling me things. I love to run, I tolerate lifting, I hate protein powder, and I'm smart enough to know that you just feign interest in me to line your pockets with your MLM scheme. There. I said it.

DawnEmbers, you sound like me. I always forget something! Beeps, I'd like to hear about your routine with bands. I'm so ignorant about resistance training in general that I don't even know what I'd do if I had to use bands instead of lifting. I took a break for about a month from lifting. Running is going better than…

That's an amazing loss! Go you.

Thanks... I realized after I asked that it's kind of a personal question and I take it for granted that we all want to share it here... So thanks. Sorry I didn't ask more delicately.

When my babies were tiny I wore them in a wrap or soft structured carrier for long walks. We all loved it.

I'm always excited when I "meet" other people with a body type like mine. :) What was your starting weight?
-
That is wonderful advice. I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing (because I like living this way!) and let my weight settle in where it needs to be.

It's easy to make!

I was hooked on Elli Quark for a while but moved on to Siggi's Skyr - similar nutritional stats. I'm in the US so Elli is pretty much all we have. I found some quark at WF but the protein wasn't anything near Elli... not sure why. It was also like a million dollars an ounce. I made my own - it was pretty good - kind of…

I think I have a touch of body dysmorphia... I don't know if I can tell what my body looks like. Pictures help, but I seriously thought I had a Kardashian butt when I was a teenager and um... I really didn't. I also thought I had huge thighs and they're just pretty normal in proportion - but that's what I saw when I looked…

Thank you.

Ha. My doc said 190... He wasn't impressed by work ethic, I guess. :)

That's helpful! Thank you. My wrist circumference is 7", so I'm pretty firmly Team Large Frame. 154 seems so much farther away than 159, but I've lost 5 lbs in the last two weeks, so I guess that's not so crazy. Thanks again.

Interesting comment. I was recently listening to a radio show on health and spirituality and they were discussing the general "placebo effect." Everyone was in agreement that it has an undeserved negative connotation. If you swallow a skittle whole every day and it makes you feel like you have more energy and thus…

I experimented with a little snack on a recent long-ish run (for me) - 9 miles. I really don't like gels, etc., so I chose dried cranberries. It was awful. I can't handle chewing and running... I'm starting to reconsider gels.

I watched this one for a few minutes recently. It looks good!

I have this problem, too. I'm learning to love them. Calves are like eyebrows and booties - I'd always rather have too much than not enough. ;) I'm thankful that they are shapely and that my legs are strong.

^ I think some of that creaminess is from the starch in the beans and the rice. I do black beans and rice, but I never add oil. I cook my beans from dried beans, not canned. I wash and soak overnight, drain, cook/simmer until I like how they taste (30 minutes?). I often stir in some salsa for the the veggies and the flavor.

Look what I found:

I found one at the thrift store tonight! Woohoo! #fistpump it's reebok brand... So hopefully decent quality. I'll upgrade eventually if I need to.

I'd love to join the fun! I'm 34 and mom to a 2 year old and a 5 year old. I also work full time. My husband is great about helping me find time to work out. Our gym has childcare and my kids love going; that's really nice.

Trader Joe's Pecan Pumpkin oatmeal. I've heard people rave about it for years. It was great. I'm thinking I need to stock up while they still have it. :open_mouth:
