I'm with you, I hate taking meds. Especially pain killers. That way when I really need them, they tend to work well since I have no resistance. But consider this, if this is a depression brought on by enviornmental factors like upbringing or a past trauma, short term meds can bring you a little more stability until you…

What is the your reasoning behind not taking meds. I think that they can be over-prescibed and abused, but if you are already eating healthy, exercising (which are the most effective anti-depressants) and can not afford therapy, starting a light medication with a history of being weight gain neutral might be a course of…

Car payments, credit card debt, wife's school loan, all gone. Buy a slightly bigger house with a basement and throw one really big birthday party next April, and then invest the remainder of the money. With all of those monthly expenses gone, I could live very comfotably since I don't have expensive tastes and I could take…

People should supervise their kids, so we are in agreement about that. But candy does not make people fat. Lots of candy makes people fat. If parents would set rules down for themselves and their children, a piece of candy everyonce in a while is not going to damage them. Just don't let them gorge and brush their teeth.…

Yeah, it goes with out saying that I hate these Reality TV Stars as I hate politicians and most talentess pop music artists, but my hatred of these con artists has lessened and shifted to the mentally weak people they take advantage of. If I could make millions of dollars the way the Kardashians have with basically no real…

Yeah, this could end bad in many different ways. If he gets divorced, fine, date him. But you don't want to be the reason he leaves his wife. Even if we were to take her and the kids out of the equation, if his feelings for you are real, then he should do right by you, man up, end the bad relationship on his own with a…

If I catch anyone in a toga or dressed like a Spartan, I'm gonna beat em down because that is offensive to my ancient greek heritage.

If you want to lose weight, do it for you and you alone. This guy sounds extremely insecure, and although I would never BS some one and tell them my marriage is perfect, anyone with sense knows that in a long term relationship, bodies change, sometimes for the worse, sometimes for the better. Sort of like a rollercoaster.…

Playing sports or maybe a martial art is something I am considering. I tend to get bored easy and I hate long distance running, even when I was in good shape. Problem is that I am on blood thinners, so boxing like I used to is out of the question. But on the flip side, running and most cardio is cheap, sports involve money…

I think the Mods are getting a little oversensitive when they are censoring a persons last name. What's next, no one is allowed to be named richard?

I think my point was taken wrongly. I'm not saying a woman coudln't do those things. I was stating that the OPs post was sexist in nature, and pointing out that if a man said various things about the female sex, he would be just as bad. But to further the point, how many women actually fill the "mother" role well. These…

I do it every day. If I asked the same question in reverse, like can any woman change her oil, keep of the phone, or stop a home invader, I would be considered a sexist. Gender roles are defined by upbringing and society, not our bits and pieces.

The chest pain was never diagnosed and never returned. I'm guessing it was a Ho-Ho caught in my sternum area.

I say get it. Everyone makes mistakes. And the cold reality is even if you don't make a sexual mistake, your partner might of. Finding two people who have never made a mistake sexually being in a relationship together is improbable. I say protect yourself.

Depends on the girl I guess. I would say it's hot to be tone and have ab definition, but to the extreme that comes with dehydration like body builders do.

I agree. But being in the marriage and demeaning him in public is ludicrous. I've seen it in men and women who have their foot already halfway out the door. It's a campaign to smear your future ex so if things go sour, you look like the good guy. If someone is truly committed to a relationship, you don't go out into public…

Well, I can poke away because this whole thread is a little hilarious. A marriage and it's pros and cons are between that couple. The OP decided not to adress her grievances to her friends via personal message or on her personal thread, but rather broadcasted to the entire MFP commnunity that A: She thinks her husband is…

Agreed with most of what you said, but maybe he is scared of the fact you are talking to an invisible man.

Ummm....as to the guys not having trashy thoughts. Well, I guess it depends on the Testosterone level of the guy. I definately notice. Not gonna say I don't. I've noticed since I was 12. But I notice nicely dressed, beautiful women as well, so the point is moot.
-
Some times in the clothing department, more is less. A beautiful woman dressed elegantly is by far more going to catch my eye if I am looking for some one to start a relationship. But if a woman is dressed in revealing clothing....while I don't make assumptions about promiscuity and she can be very hot, I don't generally…

I completely support the Danes in what ever they decide to do because it's their country. They have elected officials, so if they don't like the fat tax, vote them out. Besides, they need to watch their calories since they don't burn as much as they used to when they were still vikings.

I have bounced up 5 pounds the day after a hard workout....and I'm a guy that doesn't have to worry about TOM. Scales are a nice guide line, but your measurements and body fat % is what really counts. If I went by what the scale told me, when I was 190 lbs, lean, and in the greatest shape of my life, BMI still told me I…
