    Car payments, credit card debt, wife's school loan, all gone. Buy a slightly bigger house with a basement and throw one really big birthday party next April, and then invest the remainder of the money. With all of those monthly expenses gone, I could live very comfotably since I don't have expensive tastes and I could take better vacations and do some travelling.

    It's funny reading this... a million dollars clearly isn't as much money as some of you think it is.

    No doubt. I could buy a large chunk of land, build our dream house for when we have our 4 kids, a nice horse stable, horses, and a couple new cars. Then, I'd be broke lol

    I'd pay off my boyfriend's house and fix my credit. THEN, I wouldn't have a million dollars any more, but at least we'd be totally financially stable.... THEN I could travel more and get a personal trainer, and tend my garden better.

    Exactly. I hope this is at least after taxes. Move up to a slightly bigger house, pay off the mortgage, try to invest the rest and pretty much have the same lifestyle and friends from before. Most probably wouldn't even know I came into a million tax free.

    Hell, I'd still have the same weight problems.haha
