You look amazing - and it is lovely to see that your smile now reaches your eyes!! In your "before" photos, you might have a smile on your face, but you were clearly not happy. Huge congratulations to you for taking stock and realising what is really important in life!!

I have to say the same happened to me - I took diet pills for about 3 months, lost a heap of weight - gained it all back + more. I also now have a seriously under-active thyroid. I have slowly lost 30lbs over the last 8 months following 1200 cals a day and increasing my exercise. Plateaus happen regularly for me. It is…

bump! Thanks

LOL - this is sooo funny, I was having a post Christmas cupboard clean out too - I found a packet soup that was from 2009, but my oldest was a shaker of dried cumin that was from 2001..... now how did that hide for so long...??!!!

My New Year resolution was to get my cook books out and make something new at least twice each week - my gorcery list has pork steaks (for pork kiev), chicken breast (for chicken tagine with lemon cous cous) and grated carrot - for carrot cake porridge!! I am using my weight watchers Cook! cookbook because it shows the…

I do... my hubby is 6ft, so I constantly have to trot to keep up!! LOL!!

Hi! I am 5ft and half an inch - I have gone from 174lbs this summer to 142lbs now - I would love to get to 120 by the start of summer!:flowerforyou:

I also stick for weeks at a time - my weight loss has really slowed down. I have tried all the things that truelypink recommends (except the bath..!) and my plateaus all came to an end - eventually!! Just stick with it, you have a new healthy approach to life and a huge weight loss in the bag already! Well done for all you…

It is easy to fall into the trap of eating way too little and although you feel you got results - you know accept that it wasn't the best way to go about losing weight. I applaud you for admitting you need help - the most important lesson that I have learned through a lifetime of yo-yo dieting is that there is NO QUICK…

Hi there ! It is especially hard at this time of year - dark nights, lovely food all around... being fat and unfit is definitely the easy option. The only person who can actually keep you on track is you!! We will help to give you wise words, but if the pull of the biscuit tin is louder in your head - you know what will…

Kinda wished I hadn't looked!!!

Hi! I am 5ft and half an inch - I have never weighed in at less than 125lb - and that was on slimming pills. This time round, doing it properly with good diet an plenty of exercise, I would like to get to about 120.. but I will no doubt re-assess as I continue to lose. I am enjoying being slimmer and fitter than I have…

I bought EA sports active 2 personal trainer for the Wii. I do the workouts 4 times a week and I know that my progress is down to this! I have also bought 30 day shred and do that workout occasionally. Good luck with whichever programme you choose - just pick one and go for it!! :flowerforyou:

Rightly or wrongly, I too rise early (5.30 - not quite so early as you!!) and do between 30 and 45 minutes of circuit training. I have my breakfast afterwards, about 7am, usually muesli or porridge, then get into work with energy and feeling far less stressed. If you enjoy it, stick with it - that would be my advice!!…

I am in the UK and my kids have just come home with bags full!! I love your idea of a trade in... I am already feeling tempted by the naughty little chocolate treats that I know are in there!! Porffor - I would love to join your challenge!! I am trying to eat more protein and drink more water to bust through a massive…

That is soooo hard to plan for!! I would tell the fitter what you have achieved and get them to measure you breathing in hard - that could be the incentive you need to really stick in!! Check if they do an alteration service too. Good luck with your new job and well done for such a great start with your weight…

Well done - it is fabulous to see someone get to goal!! Personally, I don't think you need worry about those extra 5lbs, you look great!! Thanks for sharing your story!! xx :flowerforyou:

From my point of view, I know for a fact that if I don't think so carefully about what I eat and plan my meals, that I will just go back to eating in the wrong way and put all the weight back on that I have lost. How do I know - because I have lost almost 3 stone in the past - in 2004 to be exact and by 2006 every ounce…

Well done to you! It is an achievement and you will soon find that this is sooo addictive that you can't wait to log on and track what you have eaten!! Hope your results are good on weigh day!! :flowerforyou:

Your post has really struck a cord with me.. I have been feeling very lazy over the last week or so and although I have lost 27lb and i am thrilled to be in my skinniest jeans, I too have felt myself slipping into old habits!! I even ate a half a big bag of chocolate buttons tonight - just two weeks ago I wouldn't have…

I tried being vegan for weight loss reasons, I lasted for 8 months - even over Christmas, which was tough. I didn't lose an ounce. The only thing that changed for me was my smell - I think my internal flora must have been quite unhappy!! Sticking to a balanced diet with lots of exercise is all that works for me!

I always try to do my routine in the morning, although that does mean I have to get up at 5.30am to fit it in... Arrggh!! Some days I do a second bit in the late afternoon, about 4.30-ish, usually on my day off only though. (I can't beleive I get up so early just to jump about and sweat.. I must be a basket case!!!)…

Wow - you look so different!! Well done, I am really, really proud of you!! Go girl!! :flowerforyou:

MFP takes into consideration a calorie deficit to allow you to lose. Other sites may not do this. It also looks at your daily average daily activity levels.
