First off can I say that you do look like you have lost a your 20lbs - and you look fabulous. I know what you mean though, even with photographic evidence of my own progress in the past I constantly look for other people in the street who are the same size/build/height as me to help me get perspective - it is so hard. Now…

Hi there! My suggestion would be to look at how you could perhaps add a few more non-junk calories through the day, like add a spoon of honey to your breakfast, grate a little cheese on your salad etc. I usually have about 50-70 cals left at the end of the day so I will have 2 low cal biscuits with a cup of tea at about…

Portion control is important, but if you aren't keeping a check on cals/protein/carbs (remember that kids meals are meant to appeal to kids) then you are probably having a serious affect on your metabolism. Eat more is probably my advice - stick to your calorie allowance but try to eat as much as you can fit into that…

Me too, check your weekends - you would be surprised how quickly mystery calories creep in even when you think you are doing fine.

You have come to the right place - I am also fairly new but the support I have received already is wonderful. You will soon be back to the sexy, curvy, beautiful person you were - life is hard as a mom!! Good luck in your quest. JSJ xx

You are definitely looking great! Well done!!

Yeah - a calorie is a calorie, but some foods are supposed to boost weight loss - the ones I have come across are: Mushy peas, fresh beetroot, strawberries, lemon slices in water (drink the water!)... I also am a slow loser usually which is not always very motivational - however, half pounds add up to whole ones and weeks…

Other things you could think about (which you may of course already have done...!) 1. Vary your foods more - do you tend to eat the same things all the time? 2. Up your water intake 3. Watch your carbs - too many carbs can be an issue for some people. At the end of the day though, you are thinner than you were and it…

Young lady you are an utter inspiration - your pictures are fabulous and you look absolutely stunning! Well done. Please do not loose heart - it is completely normal to reach a plateau and level out for a while. The most important advice I can give you is to keep using MFP, every single day. Your remaining weight will…

I use this method and it is helping me! I also try to always have a pint glass of water around - especially if I am preparing food in the kitchen or sitting at the computer in the evening.

I try to weigh in just once a week - it is just too disheartening to weigh in more often because I go up and down like a yo-yo. Having said that, I started MFP on Monday, went to get weighed in on Thursday and lost 5lbs in 4 days!! I am hoping for another 2lbs between Thursdays for week two!!!!

Me too! I am 5ft and half an inch!!! Need to lose 30lbs - so just in your group weight range!! Just started this week and feeling very motivated so far. Fingers crossed for success.
