I haven't had that happen, but I eat a lot of steak and avocado (which is high in potassium) I also have increased my salt intake. Your body when you first start this diet will flush out all the excess water. With that goes a lot of nutrients. But, you'll need to up your potassium and sodium intake, it will also help with…

Yea I really hate when people do that, they act like they know you better than you. FYI, I stayed 100% within my calorie ranges with lots and lots of carbohydrates and lost 0 lbs, in fact I gained weight. Since I switched to LCHF I lost, granted I've only been doing it for 2 weeks, I've lost 10 lbs so far, but tomorrow is…

I hope to one day be the one showing my before and after pictures. I have already taken my before pictures. It looks like the ones that you see on the get thin fast infomercials. But I hope to be an inspiration to someone else just like you have me.

She's already said that she doesn't log while she's eating or at the table. She said she does it while she's cooking. He really shouldn't have much to complain about. My husband lets me do what I want because he's not concerned that I'm going to get all hot looking and leave/cheat on him. I think that's a huge deal for a…

I'm not sure where you live and or whether you have an Aldi, they make these Ice cream bars that are pretty good sized. I have 1 whenever I have an ice cream/chocolate craving. They're about 100 calories for one bar. And omg is it good.... http://www.aldi.us/us/html/product_range/2744_6933_ENU_HTML.htm They're apparently…

Also, 1 inch squared of muscle weighs more than 1 inch squared than fat. 1 lb is 1 lb. However the size of 1 lb of muscle is much smaller than 1 lb of fat. -- does that make sense?

^^ This is exactly correct.

All of you women with PCOS feel free to add me I posted about me a few pages back :)

No not even close. Lol to get to the baby they have to cut through 7 different subdermal layers. The body is never the same. Which makes me really sad cause i'm beginning to think I will never be able to proudly sport a 2 piece.

THIS is something to really keep in mind and don't get discouraged. It didn't take a few days to put on the weight... it'll take time to lose the weight we've gained over a lifetime. :)

I joined In June (don't remember the exact date), but I looked at it and was kinda like ehh.... But I just decided to get serious about two weeks ago. I've lost 8 lbs so far and still working hard to get the rest off.

I weigh it dry and yea it does seem like a lot -- but that's a good thing I would think.

Cheating? Eh kinda... everyone needs a "cheat day" or "cheat foods" or whatever. You have to think about it this way, we are constantly using our will power all the time. Sometimes, the days that you just can't take it means it was a particularly rough day. It's all right as long as you recognize your mistake and get back…

The best tool I've purchased hands down is the electronic food scale.

I agree with the statement where food isn't the enemy. Everything in moderation is the reality. I think some of the exercise calories are wrong. But you do have to replenish the calories you use for exercise because like it's already been said, MFP already puts in a defeceit, and eating those calories is important or…

They need to add that functionality to the mobile portion. I'm usually on my iPhone and not on the computer. Ug. :-|

I'm not the only one that uses this computer. However, if I remember correctly MFP does have some sort of degree of control of the ads that get on their site. I used to run a site and I could put in parameters for things that I didn't want showing on my site. (as I rana gaming website I didn't want gold farmers and that…

I disagree with you. Caffeine is most definitely a diuretic. When I was pregnant and retaining water I was told to drink a cup of coffee... yes coffee to release some of the water retention. And boy did it work. I would drink one cup a week to relieve my swollen ankles. It would bring me from elephant legs back to normal.

I am in the EXACT same boat as you are in! We both have about the same amount of weight we wanna lose I'm gonna add you riiiiiight now.
-
I completely agree with this. Your body needs a certain amount of calories to keep going -- if you don't give it those calories it will store the fat and calories that it does get into more fat on your body.

I'm not seeing very many vegetables in your diet. If you don't really like them then I would suggest taking a multivitamin with some extra B6 to help with your energy. Also eating once a day like you did the other day isn't going to help your energy at all. I get that people want to lose weight, but starving your body is…

I was diagnosed with PCOS 10 years ago when I was 18. I'm currently taking 2000mg of Extended release Metformin (it helps not have the nasty side effects). I gave birth to my first child 5 years ago with the help of Metformin. I'm currently at my largest that I have ever been. Just joined the site about 2 days ago. But…

My mother in law had an aspartame tumor removed from her optic nerve in her brain. This stuff is bad and it can lead to all kinds of problems. I don't recommend using artificial sweeteners. If you can't drink tea or coffee with out it perhaps you can use less or rethink whether the benefits outweigh the bad stuff. If not,…

Those high protein, low, carb diets can put your body into something called Ketosis. Which if you do it for a while can cause your kidneys to shut down. This site is designed to make sure that you eat balanced meals. Eat more whole grains and the fiber will outweigh some of the caloric intake you're eating and will also…
