  • My thoughts exactly. It is a lifestyle change to keep it off forever. You can do it. Adjust your eating habits and I'm sure it will come off and stay off. No more junk food. Be healthy and have some fresh fruit, nuts or vegis instead of chips and water or tea instead of sodas. You don't need to give up everything you love,…
  • SMACK SMACK SMACK!!! topped off with a ***** slap! STOP and MOVE AWAY FROM the JUNK FOOD!... THROW IT ALL AWAY AND GET IT OUT OF YOUR HOME. That said.... Don't look back. Refocus on the new you, you are striving to become. This is a long and difficult journey and this kind of lifestyle change doesn't happen overnight or in…
  • Bravo! And welcome, back!?! You can and you will do this. Keep dedicated and make some good supportive friends that keep you focused on all the good that you accomplish. Every little step and small triumph counts and helps you reach your goals. Don't dispair or give up. This is for a healthier happier you. Feel free to…
  • Hi! and welcome to MFP! I love MFP and recommend it to everyone I know who decide to make the lifestyle change to lose weight and keep it off. I've even gotten my oldest girl, now 24, to join and she is addicted to MFP and will spend hours on MFP in the evenings and she doesn't even have a Facebook account. You can find so…

  • YAY!!!!! That is so awesome! Great job!
  • YOU are and amazing, strong willed, dedicated woman! You are a great inspiration to us all. WTG! ! ! and more power to you for showing what can be achieved without surgery! ! ! ! Brava!
  • Step away from the cupcakes! ! !
  • Congratulations on joining MFP! You can do this! Being a good role model is the icing on the cake. Maybe you can get your brother to join too. Cheers!
  • In your case with the baby proof home and a self entertained baby I guess you can possibly be sedentary. It is up to you to log your cleaning cardio or not. I truly do not think it hurts if it is above and beyond the normal cleaning you may do on any given day/week. Good luck reaching your goals. Your baby is adorable btw.…
  • I add in whatever cardio activity is out of the norm. If you are normally on your feet all day chasing a child around, you should not set your normal activity level as sedentary. Carrying, caring and running after a small child is NOT a sedentary life and shouldnt be noted at such. I work sitting in front of a computer…
  • OMG... You look INCREDIBLE! ! ! It is hard work and you are clearly focused on your goals. Great work!
  • WTG! ! ! You can totally see the difference. Clearly you are dedicated to this lifestyle change. Great Job! Keep up all your hard work, it's paying off.
  • This is an incredibly great suggestion. Exactly what I thought about as I read the original post. Once I read this reply I felt there was no reason to repeat it in my own words. Good Luck with your parents!
  • This is one of the best ones around. http://www.amazon.com/CycleOps-Fluid-Indoor-Bicycle-Trainer/dp/B000BT7HWY/ref=reg_hu-rd_add_1_dp_T2 I plan to purchase it the next rainy season.
  • Incredible! You look absolutely amazing and happy! ! ! WTG!
  • YAY! Way to go! ! ! ! I'm afraid to get back into a pool and find I no longer float or have to re-learn how to swim sans fat. I finally learned at 40 and am waiting for a local pool to go saline so I can get back into swimming. I'm very allergic to chlorine.
  • Amen... Everything in moderation is my firm belief. If you cut out everything with fat or carbs from your diet you are not going to make it in the long run. Our bodies actually need a little of these things. Make better choices and no binging and you will be better off and happier. You cannot make this lifestyle change if…
  • OMFreakinGosh he is such a train wreck! Looking at the rapid decline in him physically, tells me that he has become a crystal meth user. I can barely look away or turn the channel (TV or radio) when they cover him. Total schadenfreude. His teeth are rotting before our eyes as he ages decades in a matter of weeks. It is so…
  • YAY! Thanks for posting. It's aways a good reminder to see a list of the good things we can eat that help us along in this healthy lifestyle journey.
  • Once you get your half an hour of cardio I'm sure you will have room for chicken with fresh vegis like salad greens. Good luck! Try getting in another 30 mins of cardio to give you room for maybe a little bit more.

  • I wish I had an answer for you. I have the same warped perception of my image in the mirror. I am nearly back down to my highschool (gymnast) size and only see the extra skin (I see fat) from having my two girls many many years ago via c-section. It takes time I'm told and a much more positive attitude toward my body to…
  • Thanks for posting! Encouragement is always welcome!
  • Welcome to MFP! Happy Logging!
  • Welcome to MFP! ! ! It will make a huge difference in hitting your goals! Especially if you install the app on your phone.
  • Do a search on the message boards here. LOTS of folks have totally defected from WW to MFP and LOVE it here. Welcome to MFP! I love how easy it is to track both Food and Exercise and make the two work together to reach your goals.
  • I'm personally intimidated to go to the gym to do Zumba with a crowd. I'm having fun at home and probably look rediculous but am burning a load of calories all the same. I'm glad I don't have a mirror around to see myself while I Zumba. Those girls on the DVD's move in ways I don't think I ever can.
  • I love my new Zumba DVD's! The latin beat keeps me going and lifts my spirits. If you lived near me I would kidnap you and take you dancing with my other gf's. We try to get out as often as possible for 2hr straight dancing to regain our hot mama status (most of us married with children). It's fun. I hope you find local…
  • Yeowza... I hear it's a fabulous work out. I see so many of my MFP friends exercise logs for shoveling snow over and over these past months and I feel guilty about using rain as an excuse not to go outside for a walk. On a side note, it may snow in San Francisco Bay Area tonight! Stay warm.
  • Welcome to MFP! I love it and started when I was on an iPhone and now use my Android phone app. MFP makes it so simple to track what goes in and what I burn out, making the whole lifestyle change much easier. Good luck!
  • YAY! Welcome to MFP! Happy logging and best wishes for your journey to a healthier you. :flowerforyou:
